i love how the english comments are saying that the lyrics have a deep meaning or something like that, while the japanese comments are saying how the original lyrics are messy and nonsensical and wondering how did he translate them into english lol

In order to replace it with a different phrase, you have to understand the meaning of the original lyrics, but since there are lyrics that don't make sense even in Japanese, Will's ability to translate them into English is amazing.

翻訳して歌ってくれる人がいたから、元々の歌詞と見比べながら聴いて、そうして初めてこの歌の詞と向き合ったよ
人間は他人の不幸を喜ぶし、醜いし、排他的になってくし、豊かだった絆や繋がりは解けて結婚式も葬式もどんどん小さく貧しくなっていくけど、全ての罪を背負って向き合いながら精一杯に生きなさい、そうしてから死になさいって歌なんだなって。
ただ皮肉な言葉が羅列されてるような露悪的で意味わかんない歌に感じてたけど、確かにこれは「人マニア」だな、って急に深く思えて来たよ
