I used this product to seal a water leak from a crack in a poured concrete roof of my garage. After cutting a 'V' channel in the concrete, I heated up the area with a torch and dragged the product along the crack while melting it. Haven't had a leak since.
for larger cracks use a closed-cell foam backer rod, it's very inexpensive and come in 20 ft rolls. then top over with Sikaflex and only Sikaflex (sold at Home Depot, not at Lowe's). The other brand of crack fillers gets hard and brittle and releases after one winter.
I've got a friend of mine at work and every time he bends over he's got the biggest crack I've ever seen. it's that big I can park my bike in it. do you think this product would work. Cheers
Sphynk Yup, Sika-Flex self-leveling crack filler. I would open up the crack with a diamond wheel first and then pack in backer rod followed by the self leveling sealant. Makes for a more attractive finished job.
looks like a lot of work to me. much easier to mix up some epoxy, pour it into the crack, and be done with it. no fix is permanent, as concrete expands and contracts with temperature and humidity changes, so might just as well use something simple to apply, in my highly disregarded and unrespected opinion.
The main problem that I see with outside cracks, would be that constant water washes out and/or causes the soil to disappear . Wet concrete seems to become brittle also, for what ever reasons(Chemicals maybe). I have even seen exposed gravel disappear as if it desolves. Probably depends the type of gravel used.
Think of how much time and money this video has saved people! Saved them from going to Ace Hardware and purchasing this crap. It's always best to repair holes and cracks with the same material, as different materials expand and contract at different temperatures which in turn loosens the patch; resulting in failure. I recommend repairing concrete with concrete. Wet the surface first then apply, the moisture will wick the cement into the smallest crevices insuring a solid grip. I'm a former stone mason. We don't squirt miracle sauce in the cracks to repair old brick joints! We use the same masonry mix used to build it! Whomever is in charge of purchasing for Ace Hardware has made a mistake to stock this...crap.
Only 120 hour of work, and your 10 foot crack looks slightly better. But yeah, heating up concrete with a torch can make it pop, so he's right to wear safety glasses
Does anyone know the best way to repair a concert floor that's getting shitty from tires/water. When we poured it the fn power trowel wouldn't stay running so it only got floated. The top layer is getting rough. I have lift and do a lot of welding on it to. I've seen the skim coat way but don't know if it's the way to go.
Maybe if you could load this stuff into a large hot glue gun and get it to flow down 4 inches, but jamming it in cold with a screwdriver looks like a nightmare. The concrete is what maybe 6 inches thick, you are not going to do anything significant with a quarter inch of plastic to join the two slabs.
This is way too time consuming and expensive if you are doing as driveway in Florida. There is not a driveway that does not crack in Florida and the cracks are long. This would take forever to do along with too much money on how many propane tanks you will go through.
HAHAHHAHAHA - how about some sanitary silicone who is water replant too? What do you think your filler would remove also the tension who lead to the crack?
This is a good easy concept to do the job if material stands to what it claims. Why so much negative comments here if the material is at fault or something else that I can't figure out.
Heres an idea, lightly spray the crack with some water, mix up some sand and cement, 3 or 4 sand to 1 cement and then push it into the crack and then using a straight squared off bit of timber go over the top of everything, leave for a short time and then using a damp sponge wipe over the entire surface. Job done and all for a fraction of the cost of this stuff.
This post should be called "How to ruin the reputation of any product with a bad demo". How would anyone with half a brain ever let this be released? It might actually work if applied correctly but we'll never know. Sales plummeting as people laugh, look for a better solution and spread the "don't but this crap" word.
What a terribly conceived product. Can someone explain why this is superior to simply filling the crack with a more liquid product that simply pours in and sets, not requiring all the extra steps of jamming in with a screwdriver and melting with a torch?
There is a far easier way to repair concrete cracks. Quick Crete makes a product, that comes in a colcking tube. All you have to do is cut the end of the tube off, poke a few hole in the protective film. And start filling the crack. You can take a popsicle stick or a tongue depresser an smooth it out a bit. Let dry and your all set. It resist water, and with age it blends in with the coloration of the existing concrete. The product is soft and pliable. You don't have to force it into the crack with a screwdriver. It's inexpensive and easy to work with. Good luck, GF1 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎
No it won't. It will do the complete opposite. It will act as a sponge and make the problem worse. Speak when you're spoken to and remember you're an idiot.
Thanks for making my days go by faster these past couple of years, I need a good laugh and what you have been doing has gave me that laugh 😁

Quikrete concrete crack seal- is much easier, fills and seal cracks in concrete, no screws, no propane
I agree...much easier and better looking than this
Use epoxy or hydraulic cement to fill the cracks !
Love how he lights the torch,or tries, gas open while its aimed at the other guy 2ft away.
a screen roller for installing screens on your windows would work great
The results are stunning
2:59 I have the same problem trying to "Jam something into a small crack" But a bit of lube works wonders.
You are a very luck guy to have a small tight crack to jam your "something" into.
No man, it's very easy, if you single like me all you do is tighten the grip.
😂
Wow you are a real expert........ Great job..........
Self-leveling concrete polyurethane sealer. So much simpler.
lol yeah. and at $3.23 a tube in bulk, it's a no-brainer. then duct tape over tip and use for another project. hahaha this is hilarious
never light a torch with lighter..always use a torch spark flint striker.
I've got a friend of mine at work and every time he bends over he's got the biggest crack I've ever seen. it's that big I can park my bike in it. do you think this product would work. Cheers
Maybe he got caught for prostitution for peddling his ass.....just sayin' lol.....
Just think of it as "male cleavage"
No idea why I'm watching this. Time to clear my history.
This makes as much sense as a laser sight for eye drops ...
Good mix 3-1 sand and cement with plenty SBR solution wet joint with dilute SBR and fill with Sand cement mix , PROPER JOB DONE
Euclid Qwikstitch is the fastest easiest crack mender. Comes in a dual cartridge or bulk. Prep is of the essence for any good concrete repair
You can't be serious.
Thank god he used a pair of safety glasses because ........ um, ....... well, uh, ....... yeah.
Nothing like using the right tool for the job... a fucking screwdriver! Now that's what I call a handyman!
What an awful looking repair, and it would take forever using that crap. Use proper concrete crack sealer, its just flows in and self levels.
Sphynk Yup, Sika-Flex self-leveling crack filler. I would open up the crack with a diamond wheel first and then pack in backer rod followed by the self leveling sealant. Makes for a more attractive finished job.
To Big Papi & Sphynk: thats exactly how i would repair it too. this vid is just some bs advertisement meant to trap unsuspecting DIY'ers
the only other option would be to break out all the damages squares and re-do the whole damm thing
Sphynk yea, Mike. All it takes is your entire weekend to fix a 10 ft crack!
Rufo Rufo

What is this?.... Is this a joke? Just get some Sikaflex and you're done

I think he just wanted to use a torch,,thumbs up for that
Approximately three days later, He is almost finished trying to get that material into that crack. Just use silicone sealant to begin with.
This video cracks me up !!
Or you can mix on litle bit of ciment and use spatula to even the mixe in the cracks
easier and trust me it costs less
'
better get a bottle with a concrete and glue-water mixed...
ready to pour in the concrete crack and let dry a day
Fix how? Certainly not as a waterproofing .. This isn't actually being sold as a waterproofing is it?
IT,S JUNK FOLKS ,DON,T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME.
John Doe
John Doe BUT ME LIKE FIRE.
Will it stop leaks?
I do concrete foundations I was just wondering if this is worth trying
Jerry Bueckert I wouldn't waste my time, but 20 years ago I'd try it. lol ..... that's why there will always be stupid garbage on the market.
Would this work for my wife's crack... Been trying to fill it for years with no luck.
@Star Gazer so you like your own comments ?!?! Cummhole.
how not to light a torch or repair concrete cracks or use lousy product.
I have been a concrete contractor for over 40 years that is a structural crack can't fix rip out and replace your wasting your time and money
William Nelson The Polish disagree
Only 120 hour of work, and your 10 foot crack looks slightly better. But yeah, heating up concrete with a torch can make it pop, so he's right to wear safety glasses
Can I use this on my plumber.
Paedophile Alert !!!! Trying to jam something into a small crack.
Said the experts who can't light a torch or keep it burning.

I am putting new redy mix concrete on slab exterday.but today sum air crack s sum where why ?
anybody notice the sanitary tee behind him is installed upside down??
RenaissanceGuru I hope that upside down joint is a vent pipe.
RenaissanceGuru
It's a vent for the sump.
StingerBeeCo ',

Why not use caulking gun and compound?
i had the best laugh, even more reading the comments
maybe use a screen repair tool to push it in.
Use Sikaflex Self Leveling Sealant
Is this material elastic and can move with cracks.
When lighting a torch only turn on the fuel slightly until it starts to burn then increase flow.
Elmers Glue and duct tape. Done.
What do you do for spider cracks?
Kind of like HOT GLUE?
This is way too time consuming and expensive if you are doing as driveway in Florida. There is not a driveway that does not crack in Florida and the cracks are long. This would take forever to do along with too much money on how many propane tanks you will go through.
RGuru, l had not noticed, but yes, it is. And--Crap repair job. But good way to show a shabby product.
junk
HAHAHHAHAHA - how about some sanitary silicone who is water replant too? What do you think your filler would remove also the tension who lead to the crack?
Love Ace
This is a good easy concept to do the job if material stands to what it claims. Why so much negative comments here if the material is at fault or something else that I can't figure out.
Best part was comment at 2:58 to 3:05
This is not crack repair but a patch up job
Heres an idea, lightly spray the crack with some water, mix up some sand and cement, 3 or 4 sand to 1 cement and then push it into the crack and then using a straight squared off bit of timber go over the top of everything, leave for a short time and then using a damp sponge wipe over the entire surface. can it be painted ?
Dude, it's a propane torch.....WTF???!!! They are not that hard.
Wow .. I didn't think a product could make a Crack look worse. Good job! _sarcasm_
I've used concrete caulk that works so much better
I think that guys having trouble keeping a straight face. Lmmfao
Wow an ACE expert
Lmfao... "trying to jam something in a small crack." Hahah
Looks like hell.....
they make a cement caulking that i think would be easier and better for you..caulking gun scrapers and brush to clean it out
you could also patch it with concrete... like quickcrete... or even clay....
knee pads??
'
what wrong with a person is a not good to handle the stabilizer videocamera...
why videocamera move move move...
use a tripod and stay
tourch lighting is simple and basic. his problem proves he has almost never "been there and done that".
From air entrapment in the concrete, it pops or has micro explosions when applying a torch.
Looks better left cracked.
Easier to put in some silicone.
Totally bs
This is so stupid, just use cement caulk.
That guy doesn't even know how to light a torch, product is junk, save your money
That cracked me up
eventually they got there good luck guys on ur next job
Trying to jam something in a small Crack :o
Careful, concrete explodes when you heat it sometimes.
Can’t help but to look at that shit gas pipe job going to furnace at 0:27
Yeah light that up alright
I've used hydraulic cement with good results.
I swear by using Sikaflex. As long as it's warmed up in the sun it'll flow right in and look awesome and with no torch needed for about $9 at HD.
What a terribly conceived product. Can someone explain why this is superior to simply filling the crack with a more liquid product that simply pours in and sets, not requiring all the extra steps of jamming in with a screwdriver and melting with a torch?
the finish looks awful.
What the hell was that!!!!
Looks great..... : (
I use something in a tube, just put it in a caulk gun and let it go.
Hydraulic cement is faster and will last for ever.
I would could fill the crack up faster by running a crayon over it Haha!

just make up some cement will do the same thing
No it won't. It will do the complete opposite. It will act as a sponge and make the problem worse. Speak when you're spoken to and remember you're an idiot.
This is a joke right?
Would have been easier to open the crack up and loosen it up before you stick it in......
2 men and products 1 blow torch that won't light to fix a crack 300mm long how much you charge ..
