Great content Julie! I love mixed metals and gilding is one of my favorite tasks to do...whether with gold, silver or other leaf.
My favorite metal combos in my own are home aged gold (or brass) and matt black (like iron).

My favorite combo that you showed us is the brass & black iron! But, since I re-decorated before seeing your video...I went with chrome & black iron.

I've purchased mid century chairs, have my small sectional sofa-can't seem to find the right coffee table style & shape or finish, as said before, i'm in a small 750 sq. ft. condo. Everything is in the same room, dining, kitchen & living room. I have my eye on a round white mid century dining table. will it be to much to get a round coffee table?? At road block. I've brought in some brass finishes with wall hanging & Buffett ornaments. Now need that coffee table to pull together, make a seating area. My chairs are swivel so they can be turned any direction. Looking for months for table. Please help, suggest :(

What is your opinion of textured glass for shower doors, rain glass? Is there a better option for filtering light in a bright bathroom?

Hi Julie, great video. I think I needed to hear this! I have silver light fixtures, mirrors, photo frames, tray, ginger jar, candles sticks in my living room. I have no idea where to start to incorporate another metal. I need to watch this again, and take notes. Thank you.
You have it easy, just pick one contrasting metal and add it to the small stuff (matte black or brass). Replace some of the small items like candles sticks and frames to mix it up.

I have also been planning out my en-suite makeover and I like black finishes, hubby likes the gold/brass so i was going to do mixed metals in there as well so this video, especially the bathroom part, helped so much! 💃🏽💃🏽 I was wondering if I get a black faucet can I get gold shower fixtures and so on. Watching this video Julie was so helpful - I got a lightbulb idea for my faux Chinese cabinet ( it’s going to be painted metallic silver ) and where to put it ( next to my black marble tiled fireplace in the lounge room which is also painted black to the ceiling - haven’t figured out the other side yet maybe a large print ) the rest of the room has 2 tan couches a round bronze coffee table with a round bronze tray that is bright gold on the inside - I have to come clean I had a lovely young interior designer do most of the changes done over the last year

Hi Julie, we are making a new home and we are taking a lot of inspiration from your channel. I am planning to go for a black based cabinet for the kitchen because I just love the colour. I will like to know which metal combination and colour will go nice and some typical places we should try to apply it. We are planning to have cabinets without handle
Brass and polished nickel would be fabulous. You have faucets, fixtures, and lighting to play with the mix- have fun with it!
