  • Join Graeme as he goes fishing with a float and maggots. He tries to catch carp, perch, roach and more! This is a movie length epic in which Graeme heads over to Bury Hill Fisheries to try his luck float fishing on both Milton Lake for Crucian Carp and Bonds lake for Roach. Then it's back to the Totally Awesome Basecamp where he shows you how he had to repair his boilie catapult after busting it trying to move on rodents. Then he repairs his floats with some tips you may find useful. Into the Tackle Shack where Mike from TA Outdoors joins him for a chat, and wants to know if the old man can actually salvage his Trail Cam..watch the film to find out what he did, and even more exciting the duo set the trail cam up by a game trail too see what creatures might rock up during the hours of darkness...this is one film where you won't know what is coming next ....Graeme doesn't and he is the one that spend ages editing it! It's certainly different and let us know if you like this mixed up format of filming....Enjoy.

Hi. Have you thought of adding towels to your merchandise as it would be a good addition to someone's tackle box. By adding an eyelet or a very long cord to one edge people would be able to tie it around themselves or to things. Thank you for the videos I find them enjoyably educational and entertaining I look forward to the next one.

You’re a hero, started fishing 6 weeks ago because I’m furloughed. Found your channel, watched 10s and 10s of your videos, picked up loads of tips. After a slow start over the first few trials, today I had 4 carp 10 lbs plus on the ledger, and scores of perch, bream, roach and Rudd on the float using corn, maggots and paste. Also visited my animal feed shop for ground bait. Thank you so much Graham, really you are inspirational!

I am from the midlands and never saw a red kite in my life . got a chance to detect some farmland 10 mile from my home and I saw 50 I think they must of been red kites large bird of prey with a reddish brown forked tails circling the fields I have seen lots of birds of prey over the last 35 years metal detecting fields but never a red kite so strange to see one a few weeks after you mentioned them in your message GL&TA

Hello from Canada. I also follow Outdoors. Do you have white moths flying around your broccoli? If you do they will lay their eggs on the plant and the caterpillars or worms will eat your broccoli like crazy! These moths will do this to any cabbage type plant (cauliflour, Brussel sprouts, cabbage etc.) To stop them we always use a powder that you can buy at the gardening section of any store or at a gardening store. Hope that helps you. Happy angling!! Happy gardening.

maggots have a little bit of skin that is kinda like a tail, the best way to hook a maggot is through that, it keeps them wriggling and alive (so long as they don't drown)

Bit of hairspray on the catapult then slide the rubber on. When the alcohol in the hairspray evaporates the rubber will be on tight

Here's an idea for a playlist. Review different trailer boats on your channel. Wilson, sea hog, Orkney ect. For me buying an Orkney day angler I couldn't find a good review video anywhere. And I'm sure I'm not tge only man who likes to hear other peoples opinions on what I want to buy. Just a taught. Love the content. Especially the boat fishing

Keep your line really nice and tight mate and just a thread it down until you feel the hook, a little push and a wiggle and it will be right out, I stand on the line to keep it tight if On my own

Lucky the perch didn’t bolt the maggots down .. particularly the late strikes .. seems to depend on the day but I had 3 in row with different baits that necked the maggots then 1 & 2 prawns

Look through some of the older TAF videos, there's a few dedicated to exactly that subject.

Need to feed 4mm pellet with 4mm or 6mm expander pellet on hook for crucians. I’ve had 6lb on rod and reel doing that Graeme.

Graeme did you notice the fly shucks in the margins they looked like canis that could explain the lack of silver fish. Had many a day spoiled by a hatching.

Have you asked Bury Hill Fisheries why they have banned method feeders? I was about to apply to join when I found this ban in their Carp rules, I enjoy method fishing as it keeps me busy which I like but if method fishing harms the fish in some way I’d like to know so that I can rethink my tactics. I do of course fish a running method feeder up against a quick link bead stop which I think is even safer than a lead clip and would be happy to change the hook length to whatever the fishery recommends but this blanket ban puzzles me. Regards, Clive.

some uses dish washing fluids to put on tires etc on bikes/mc, but i wouldnt recomend cus if getting whet the tire can slip. but rubbing alcohol u can use, it vaporizes. and for harder rubber, warming it up from any heat source, degrees can mage a huge difference. well, maybe some tips that could come in handy someday for somebody. cheers
