Annan Athletic U14s v Northbank U13s - Friendly 2021

A entertaining game at Galabank seen two young teams battling it out under intense heat this afternoon. This Scotland v England clash as always gave the fans some entertainment.
Early goal from Annan scored by Flynn Dalgliesh set them up nicely as they dominated the first 15 minutes. Northbank slowly started to get their game together and Harry Doswell broke free and cool as you like chipped the oncoming keeper to level the scores at the break.
Northbank took the lead early in the 2nd half again Doswell on hand to fire home. With the game into the final 15 Annan defence made two late challenges with the 2nd one bringing down Ewan Tedford in the area, the referee made the penalty call. With Doswell on a chance of a hatrick he stepped up making no mistake to put his team 3-1 up and complete a great day at Galabank.
Annan battled hard to get themselves back into the game and Jake Kirk reduced the deficit with a well taken goal. After this Annan pushed Northbank all the way and were unlucky not to have a penalty decision themselves, but this was one the referee missed and on another day it could easily have been given. The final score 3-2 and a good win for Northbank in their preperations for the comin g season.
