    Nah, I have to agree on Toast with this one. The amount of times where the Jungle has made the game easier for all the lanes is way too many to count. Their presence all over the map could potentially decide some of the games you play. This is especially true for soloq where it is hard to communicate. Sure in the pro scene this is different, where junglers and supports work hand in hand, yet the jungle is where the hardest and most meticulous plays happen. The players in this role get shit on when they fail smites/steals/ or ganks. It's a lose/lose situation most of the time for them.

    • @Novenae_CCG
      @Novenae_CCG Před rokem +8

      I think some misunderstanding came from essentially changing the question, though. First he stated that jungling requires the most brainpower. Then he asked which role requires the most skill. These are different matters. It can be entirely true that mid takes the most _skill,_ and that junglers need to _think_ the hardest.

      @@Sekrai You just played yourself my man, you just said "Macro + Mechanics = Skill" but then also said "U can have more macro and less skill overall." It should be less macro means less skill overall, which I could have agreed with you but then you said brainpower equals macro.
      Brainpower does not mean total macro because brainpower could be translated into better item building, skill leveling, damage trading, or basically any "micro" skill.
      Brainpower could be divided into macro and micro skill, and either one could be the primary focus of a person. Talented players could focus on both and be the best of both skills, which is happening today.

    For me support in pro games is the most important for the type of play style pro play, you coordinate with your jungler, ADC mid, and sometimes your top, you take the most risks when warding and roaming you have to keep a constant eyes on the map and summoners skills. In soloq where communication is harder, support can't do much, that's where junglers shines.

    • @cjpe2265
      @cjpe2265 Před rokem

      I agree. For the pro scene it's support->jg->top->mid and ad. But for solo Q it's mid->jg->top-> ad and support.

    I think every role requires skill, but expectations change depending on which level of play you’re at. I feel like the jungler matters so much because their plays can make or break a laner’s experience. Everybody wants to crap on a jungler when they have a bad experience in lane but nobody talks about mid laners who can’t “carry” or top laners that can’t “split properly.” Jungler being the most unique role in the game gives everybody a vastly different perspective. It’s also the most adaptive role in the game being the one who needs to watch out for the enemy jungler and overall team performance to set the team up for success. Much respect for a role that has to mindlessly pve because their brains are on overdrive looking at the map.

  • @jackychen7769
    @jackychen7769 Před rokem +4

    As a low-level former LoL player:
    - Support at lower levels can be very important, but it isn't hard and is rather unrewarding. I've had more success as supp than any other role, but I don't care to main it.
    - Mid can be tough and is more than just looking at your lane. You focus mostly on your lane, but every role should be taking peeks at other lanes to check for opportunities and threats. Roaming certainly has its place for mid laners.
    - Jungle has multiple parts that vary in difficulty. Creeping and map awareness are easier than laners. Pathing is partly pre-planned and partly situational. Ganking can be easy or hard based on the skill level of your laners and the enemy laners.
    - Imo, the toughest part of any role is knowing what the best choice to make is based on the info you have. It's especially hard if you have to take into account how good your teammates are, making jungle tougher in this particular regard. Anyone can improve their skills over time with a bit of practice, but I find knowing what calls are more optimal is what distinguishes a mid-level player with good mechanics from a pro. Then again, this all comes from a relatively low-level player.

  • @invroken.inside6129
    @invroken.inside6129 Před rokem +16

    Sorry but i have to agree with toast, Jungler needs to know the whole map, when and where to rotate, when will the camps spawn, dragon, Herald and they have to be aware of the other jungler as well, while in mid, you just have to outplay the other player and last hits....

    • @undeathghost5627
      @undeathghost5627 Před rokem

      You also have to have a good idea about when to push your lane as opposed to freezing it. You have to have an understanding of not just your own matchup but how the junglers of each team affect that matchup since you are the lane that is *almost* always the most convenient to gank. Then theres also the discussion centered around that there is the most character diversity in that lane as opposed to other ones and as such you have to have a wider breath of knowledge of actual matchups. Finally, when your ahead you should (and will definitely be expected to) be pressuring others lanes since you are just as capable of ganking as a jungler in many cases (specifically once your ahead).
      It is highly debatable overall. I will say I do personally still think Jungler is the "hardest" role in general. But you are largely belittling the Mid-lane role with what you said and that is what I wanted to convey.

  • @malentoasty
    @malentoasty Před rokem +4

    I don't blame laners for expecting help and not wanting to help. The concept of csing just inherently encourages selfish play, and the idea of sacrificing your own tempo to help your team is polarizing for most players.

    I like semi agree with lily and toast...with that I mean yes a jungle should individually deal with each lane person differently...but like its hard as fuck when ur being span pinged and passive aggressively called useless....but at the same time the jungle has to have the fortitude to ignore that shit...and deal nicely with their other roles for gank preparation...it is difficult nah basically impossible but that's just how league is...some roles just make you tilt the most n some are not that bad
