- I've always felt like this song fits Bojack perfectly, both as a show and character, but couldn't find any edits to it anywhere, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. Hope u enjoy!
I made this in the span of a week (rip my hands) on Clip Studio Paint and put the thing together in CapCut.

For anyone curious. This song was originally shown in another animated tv show: Moral Orel. It’s ONE OF THE BEST I’ve ever watched, if you loved Bojack Horseman you’re going to adore Moral Orel specially when you get to the episode this song appears in
Moral Orel is the whole reason I know about this song
I just finished MO and wanted to revisit this animatic. It’s amazing, and was such a huge stepping stone for adult animation. I really wish it wasn’t cancelled because the storylines they had planned for later seasons seemed so interesting.

Look at Sara Lynn's shirt with the hands at 1:55.
I don't know why I never thought about or noticed her shirt before but it hit me like a ton of bricks when I did.
Some of the passing comments she makes throughout the series implies that she was abused by her stepdad when she was a kid.
When Brittany spears got her head shaved during her mental break down, she told the hairdresser “I don't want anyone touching me. I'm tired of everybody touching me”
She was her step dad sexually abused her :/

At first I thought I was overthinking it but after a few more times I was like
"Yeah her stepfather definitely did something to her."

@@caleyqueen2313 Throughout the whole series she makes passing comments that are easily overlooked and don't sound too odd until they are all looked at together.
One of the earlier episodes she mentions that her mom's boyfriend (later step dad) homeschools her and he takes lots of pictures because he's a photographer. She looked either really nervous or upset while saying this.
During the episode of Herb's funeral she was helping search his old office when they came across some fur that she smells and tastes immediately identifying it as bear fur. When asked if she was sure she responded by saying "I know exactly how bear fur smells and tastes. Trust me..... my stepdad is a bear."
I don't remember if it was the vodka in the water bottle incident or another flash back but when she was asked why she didn't want to be in her dressing room she responded by saying she doesn't like being alone in there with her stepdad.
Another time or it could be at the same time as the previous part mentioned she asks if she could get ready in Bojack's dressing room instead of her own because her stepdad was doing weird things again.
I have heard that he could have been based off of Terry Richardson but it's officially unconfirmed so take that with a grain of salt. The part that is cited as proof linking them together is her mom changes her name from Carol Himmelfarb to Carol Himmelfarb - Richardson but again it is not confirmed that her stepdad was based off of him.
If I messed something up or forgot something I both want and encourage y'all to correct me and explain it. A comment like "Thats wrong, you messed up." is not productive and can't be learned from. If y'all explain it by telling me what I got wrong and give me the correct information then I can learn from it.

Even though it's famous for being used on Morel Orel, I feel like No Children really fits the vibe of Bojack Horseman. Bitter and following the self-destructive downward spiral as deep as it can go, alienating almost everyone around you and taking the few that remain down with you. Seriously, this is perfect, and amazing art.
it could be about bojack's relationships (not only romantic).... there are lyrics that apply to pc, diane, beatrice, todd, herb, gina, ana, kelsey, sarah lynn.. its great to intepret a song with the context of a tv show
1:57.....DAMN. Why aren't more people talking about this. That shirt she wears is symbolic of her step dad sexually abusing her as a child. Sadly that pushed her into being hypersexual as an adult, in her music too. She didn't deserve that. And as a victim of assault 2 different times myself.... no one deserves that. It speaks volumes of the type of lasting psychological damage those experiences can leave on a person.
People rightfully praising the end with Sarah Lynn but I also loved the "we're pretty sure they're all wrong" with Bojack and Dianne

This is an incredible PMV! It touches on so many great moments and yet still manages to not feel crammed in at all, and the art is so good! I love how you depicted the parallels between his greatest failures, and the small segment about Beatrice hit so hard

God, I had chills the entire way through this but 1:52 to 2:01 especially hit me like a brick. This is absolutely amazing and the scenes you chose to portray alongside the lyrics fit almost scarily well. The only good Bojack animation I will ever click on. The song No Children really goes with many things, reality and TV shows. The final shot I gotta respect, you linger on Diane and Bojack, really driving in the point that they aren't as close as they once were.
I feel like this song fits Bojack perfectly, I also have another song recommendation for an animatic that focuses on Sarah Lynn if you ever wanted to use it, the song 'Sarah Smiles' by Panic at The Disco, its a really good song and it fits Sarah Lynn's whole vibe and general life as a person. :)

I am absolutely floored at this, its so fantastic. You hit each lyric with an appropriate scene or moment so well I almost GASPED at parts. The art style is also beautiful (it only took you a week?? its amazing??) and I really love how you captured important story points of Bojack and the characters around him and of course, ending on the roof with Diane. I'm guessing the song playing while they sit there in silence is a nod to how the show ended too? I'm so glad you put that in there. You really captured the show's story in only a few minutes. I'm honestly surprised the Bojack show never used this song cause its kind of perfect for it.

The fade to black reminds me of blinking, or kind of like flashing between thoughts. Like we're seeing Bojack recount certain things, and then the parts with the giant balloon Bojack or the ending with them both on the roof are something he pauses at/thinks about longer, or maybe just the present.
It probably wasn't your intention, but I still think it's a cool effect either way. I also like the way you draw the characters! They look a lot softer and I think it's super cool.

Dude bojack horseman is already such a heavy hitter. The part of " I hope when you think of me years down the line, you can't find one good thing to say" is so fking powerful this time, along with Sarah Lynn beside bojack. This show changed me in so many ways as a young adult, the song No children moved me more than many songs have, and I am so grateful you took these two pieces of art and remix them in your own way. Amazing and very moving.
