III. Allegro vivace
Sergey Khachatryan, violin
Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse

the intro is absolutely spectacular, this may be the most underrated of the 20th century violin concerti.
Khachaturian never fails to amaze.
0:06 - I
16:20 - II
30:37 - III
I love this concerto. Always been a sucker for mixing folk music and orchestra.
This piece is referenced in Raymond Chandler's novel "The Long Goodbye." At one point, private eye Philip Marlowe says, "At threeA.M.I was walking the floor and listening to Khachaturyan working in a tractor factory. He called it a violin concerto. I called it a loose fan belt and the hell with it." (I don't agree)
Good catch - love Chandler, but also disagree!
very underrated violin concerto, rarely mentioned next to brahms, tchaikovsky, mendelssohn etc
와... ㄷㄷㄷ 좋네요! 3악장 ㅠㅠ 미쳤네유
