You know why Daunte had an outstanding warrant? His notice for a court's zoom hearing was sent to the wrong address. He never got the notice, which meant he couldn't show up for the hearing. And so a warrant was issued for his arrest. The whole system is so messed up!

3 years ago I wasn't blind but I couldn't understand how things worked. The past 2 years I've really opened my ears and eyes to the ways of society in amerikka. Used to when I heard about white privilege I thought like, I grew up poor in Mississippi what privilege. A few instances woke me up, I walked in the courthouse for something, point is I got waved though the security checkpoint because I THINK I looked like a county white boy. A few times I've been pulled over or been through a road block and they just check my id and send me on. I don't have to think am I going to get shot or beat and charged with things I didn't do, because I look a certain way. You cant understand something if you don't want to because believe me all you have to do is observe and think..... I pray the world of our children's children is better...

How do you know they saw the weapon. Think about it a bit, neutraly. Just because its in front of them does not mean they looked at it intentionally. It happened so quickly and in the heat of the moment. If someone is trying to drive away would they not both be looking at the perpetrator/victim?
When you go to shoot you don't look down to see where your weapon is. You know where it is by your hand placement and your pereferal vision. You're not going to take in every little detail. She is primed to believe, because of error, and so are the other officers, its a tazer.

Her negligence as a seasoned vet of 26 years, who also serves as police union president, is inexcusable. Every profession recognizes malpractice, and the same will apply to a police officer who executed her job poorly and consequently took someone's life. If inadequate training is in question, then that needs to be addressed as a problem facing police academies too. It's completely unreasonable this happened at all. If you can't tell a gun and a taser apart, you shouldn't be allowed to carry either of them. If you're unable to handle all these mental and emotional stresses that come with the job, you shouldn't be a cop at all. There are high expectations from those trained to patrol our streets. What's the point of training then? What qualifies someone to be a cop if we talk about them as defenseless citizens who didn't know any better once they make these so-called fatal mistakes?
