- something different than usual! i started to get into sewing a few months ago just for fun. i made this mini totebag and some of you asked for a tutorial, so here ya go ~ enjoy the video, let me know what you think and if you got any questions if you're gonna make the bag!

you can also recycle and make a bag out of your own clothes if it is anything you don’t wear or like anymore!! We are actually making bags in our school rn and I am making mine out of an old curtain and it works perfectly the same! So you save both money AND it is environmental friendly ☺️🤎

It's such a cute and functional bag, I'm excited! + like that wasn't enough, the editing in this vid is GORGEOUS and incredible, honestly this is role-model quality. Now I'm distracted from making the bag because I want to figure out how you did all that editing instead lmao (or you could drop a tutorial for that too, don't be shy 😏)

I made the same bag but by using my old jeans and a old denim top. with the bottom a little curved and rest the same design. It turned out to be very cute. Thank you for this video you made it look very easy and neat. :D

I made one and it turned out sooo cute omg, thank you so much for the tutorial!
Very cute! I need to make one. I will definitely be finishing those seams though, it makes the bag sturdier and last longer. You can either bind the seams with bias tape… or instead of doubling the fabric, you can treat one layer as a lining layer and have all the seams nicely hidden away.
This tutorial is definitely a good one! I'm so into learning sewing now!

You can use bias tape to cover the raw edges on the inside of the bag 😉 it'll also prevent them from fraying

Cool idea.
This was my first project and I really liked how it turned out. I didn't make the hand handles as I don't like them. It looked really messy on the inside because I'm bad at removing excess thread.
The corner bit was confusing but I think I got it, probably if you zoomed in and said what pieces you sewed together would have helped. In the end, I probably did it wrong because I ended up with an extra line.
Also, one of my side corners went in too far so the bottom wasn't a proper rectangle.

if you wanted, you could easily finish the raw edges inside with some bias tape! the raw edge look suits this style way more, though. thanks for the tutorial :D
I second this! I also made a tote bag before and my only problem was it unravels when I left it raw. :)

I love this tote bag and I'm trying to make it! But quick question, did the 2nd bag have the exact measurement as the first one, or was it a bit bigger?
i believe it was the same measurement, but the first one turned out smaller in the width. so they look slighty different!

Hey, just wondering how many yards you used for the bag in total?
hi! i used about 60cm x 90cm for the bag. that's about 0,7 x 1 yard i think :)
How many centimeters of fabric should i buy in total?
how much fabric do you need?
I used 4 fat quarters so 1m^2. However, I used just under half of 2 fat quarters so around 80cm^2 excluding straps is what I would get at minimum.

loool it was tricky to explain haha but i think once you reached the step and play around with the fabric, you will eventually get it :)
