How are you able to pan your camera and look down without your chocobo diving? I'm currently struggling with the end half of the course because I can't manage to look down without the chocobo losing altitude, making it impossible to plan a route.
I don't actually pan at all. Are you holding up on the left or right stick to keep altitude? That would prevent you from seeing most of your surroundings. Only hold up when you're coming back up from a dive. Otherwise only hold R2 and then make adjustments on the stick only when necessary.
An explanation of how you are gliding down then back up would be great. The game doesn't tell you and the 'Ascend' command never lights up as active regardless of how far i glide down.
Sure thing. Basic controls first: It's down on the left stick to go down, up to go up (I hate that it's not inversed like a plane) and R2 to glide. R2 and holding down would cause you to do a big continuous dive. Bigger dives gets you more momentum to come back up higher by suddenly holding up on the analog stick well into the dive. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the response, I eventually got it working, I had the weird controller movement controls enabled and it was preventing me from doing the dives properly, I have now done tier 3 on all 3 courses thanks to your videos!@@Mako_SOLDIER
This minigame gives me headache because if the last 20 years of gaming has taught me anything it's that during flying pulling downwards goes up, and forward goes down but nope this stupid game put it in reverse and gives you no choice. I am having to rewire my brain for 1 mini game.

Ahh, I figured you needed to hold forward or you'd lose speed. That's probably what's doing it. Thank you!
