Junior didn’t start out dumb like that, they exaggerated it greatly for some reason. He was much funnier and bearable in the early seasons.

Went to high school with him at Suitland in Maryland. He seemed very quiet and didn’t like being bothered. Maybe he didn’t like fame or having fans. It makes sense now to hear he wanted to just go to college and live a regular life. I’m glad he is now doing something he enjoys best of luck to him

I went to Suitland High School with George, and we were cool during those years; he was a bit of a class clown, but he always kept his grades solid. He was also still acting on “New York Undercover” and would be gone for a few months out of the year. As you can imagine, he was VERY popular in school, however, he didn’t take his popularity to the head. I remember one girl saying that he didn’t look like the kid from “New York Undercover”, and the school subsequently FLAMED HER for the rest of high school. 😂😂
Anyway, good dude! Miss our times in 9th grade Geometry class with Mr. Smith. I’m glad he’s still productive and doing well.

I worked nights the entire time this TV series was on but I found it year's later in re runs while I was healing from spinal surgeries. What a great show, pretty much loved each character and what each person brought to the show, great chemistry. I wish it had run longer, this was great to watch and funny as all get out, never thought I could laugh so much it hurt. I will now have to see if this is available on DVD.

Almost every black show have a dumb or dingy ass character. For an example, JJ on Good Times, Kim on Moesha and The Parkers, Junior on My Wife and Kids, Eddie on Family Matters, Theo initially on The Cosby Show before it turned out that he had dyslexia, Hilary on The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, Cole on Martin and Synclaire on Living Single
That’s most shows though...look at friends...Joey got stupider and stupider every season....it’s lazy writing at the least and a ratings grab at best.
By the end of the show, Kady was smarter than Junior and Claire. And, she was like 10 years old
