Yes, its 2.8 magnesium casing motor with Weber Carbs, twin spark. I prefer mechanical fuel injection as on my previous Yellow 2.7 RS that was pretty fast but 200+ kg heavier than this 800kg 911R. It is very tricky to drive hard with its short wheelvase. But a huge pleasure and very satisfying to achieve wins with some RSRs.
+Evert Botha Very nice. I, too, prefer MFI and am currently running a 3.0 (built on '83 SC cases) with MFI and twin plug ignition in my road going '72. I'm no racer, but do enjoy track days where I can surprise some of the newer cars. Anyway, good job, and have fun with your very cool car.
Very nice video of one of my favourite tracks. I love the raw sound of the engine and crash box!
Fantastic video! Any details on the car? It's being driven quite well, and looks well set up. In another video it's said to have a 2.8.
