Use grid method, you can also print out your reference nd make the same grids on both reference nd the paper you're gonna draw on...or you can simply use grid maker for drawing app...first measure the length nd breath of your paper then divide both amounts individually with the cm of grid cubes you want, for example if your papers length is 24 cm and you want 2 cm each grid cube, so just divide 24 by 2 which means you'll have 12 grid cubes each of 2 cm...
