nice debate sir. my opinion, there are two challenges for the new companies, in other words advantages for Amazon. the first one is the return policy. in USA people easily return the product even for very small reasons, . when the return happens, the cost will be high for the seller. second powerful with Amazon is the reviews . lot of people are able to purchase the product within 5 minutes just by looking at the reviews volume. that saves a lot of time. imagine, you buy a low quality product to save some money, and you end up experimenting it , and returning the product, and collecting the money or getting the new product. all these are hassle and people don't have time for all these in USA to save a few dollars. in USA people are very genuine and serious in writing reviews. so reviews are mostly credible.
