    I've owned the 525lst for 3 years and it's been a great trimmer. Despite the Husqvarna website not mentioning it, both the 525ls and 525lst have the identical X-torq engines on them. If you look at the parts list, the difference is in the high torque gearbox on the lst. The lower gearing on the lst spins the cutting head about 1000 rpm slower than the ls does.

      It really is a great trimmer! Thank you so much for explaining the difference for me, I tried to find the difference everywhere and couldn't find anything other than Husqvarna not advertising the LS as having the XTorque.
      Thanks for clearing that up for me and thanks for watching my video!

      FYI the 2:1 head ratio on the list spins the head faster the the last model.

    The 525LS and 525LST have exactly the same engine/motor. The ONLY difference between the two is that the 525LST has the gearbox geared lower for higher torque output at the head at lower RPM. The LST has an output at the head of 5,500 RPM, while the LS has an output of 6,500 RPM - at the same engine output speed of 8,500 RPM for both. So the LST is just geared lower. It’s a bit better for really thick stem heavy brush due to increased torque output, but a bit worse for thin blade grass since the output RPMs are lower. So the choice between the two just depends on what you mostly cut.

      Yep! This is exactly right! At the time I made this video I knew the LST model had more torque but I wasn't aware that was literally the only difference. Nonetheless thanks for the comment letting people know and thanks for watching!

    I have the 535LK pro combi and It's a fantastic machine! The plastic on the top is stop you burning your arm & the metal skid plate is a simple but great idea. The x torque engine is soo easy to start and should be marketed as leaner greener meaner! ❤️ All my Husqvarna tools.

    if you edge with these trimmers it blows hot exhaust right on your arm and it absolutly can burn you on a hot day. After its been running for 30-45 mins on a 90+ degree day it gets mighty toasty on the exhaust side.

    Do they make a cutting blade for heavy brush and small trees ?

      They make several blades that work great. The one I use the most is a 12" tri blade that is excellent at thick brush, briars, and even softer sapling up to about an inch or so. I will link it below.
      The Scarlett blade that comes with it is great at cutting bigger saplings up to about 5-6 inches but is not that great at cutting brush and grass type growth. The tri blade kinda mulches and shreds it up where the Scarlett blade cuts and it just gets in the way after it falls down.
      9/10 I'm using the tri blade and just get the chainsaw for anything it can't handle.

      Stihl has less power with more weight compared to husqvarna. Stihl also in my experience is more tempermental when starting and keeping carbs tuned. Stihl is better weight balanced than Echo but Husqvarna LS and LST is superior as are their blowers and chainsaws.

    can u put a circular blade on this machine?

    • @jonescompanycustoms7208
      @jonescompanycustoms7208  Před 4 lety

      I am pretty sure that brush cutter blades are only recommended on equipment with a 30cc or larger engine and the 525 is 25cc. You can try it and for the most part it might work but it's probably not going to work well and it's going to be hard on your machine.

    • @jonescompanycustoms7208
      @jonescompanycustoms7208  Před 4 lety

      @avengingknight I wouldnt reccomend putting a brushcutter blade on the 525LST. I have no doubt it would work for a time but it would be hard on the machine. Its usually recommended to have at least a 30-35cc motor to use a brushcutter blade. I also think that the 525 has a .75 inch arbor but I may be misremembering.
