In life, people will experience the same things in such vastly different ways. Possibly the most beautiful reality of the human experience is that we gain so much perspective, patience, and wisdom with time and age. We can appreciate life for what it is; for all the ups and downs and in-betweens.

A lot of well-known artists have recorded this song, including (surprisingly) Frank Sinatra. I don't know who's version was the most famous but always preferred the Joni Mitchell version from her Clouds album.

And I too was thinking about the maturing voices of Savanna and Mat. AND, i also planned to comment on Mat coming in from working outside to sing with Savanna the first time, during covid, and how she was doing, I think, an online choir for school, instead of the in-school class. I loved this.

I remember Judy Collins singing this when I was in 10th grade!!!! I will be 70 in November. Brings back some good and bad memories of a very tumultuous time in our country. Thanks for the lovely rendition.

There’s really no explaining to people who think you’ve changed when you are living day to day. Each and every moment of our lives shape us, ever changing and ever beautifully imperfect. Savanna is so very young, and extremely talented - an up and coming artist if she wants to be. I had to Google Mat, though, wondering which musicals he has starred in, if he went to Julliard and so on. If I had spent the rest of my life guessing about his education and career, "realtor in Utah" would never have entered my mind. This was so beautiful, I need a few moments to push myself back to reality. I still remember how profoundly captivated I was the first time I heard this song. I feel the same way now...
Beyond the singing, what you two have is something almost no family experiences. I would say most of us are very proud of what your family has. Also that was amazing.

Another amazing preformance. Both Sides Now reminds me of an old family (& my first adult ) friend from Ireland . As I got older & moved out I'd meet her for lunch a few times a year & she was one of the first people I'd send a Christmas card to. She eventually moved back to Ireland & passed away many years ago.
