Gameplay is great. Graphics are great. Music is great. Boss Fights are hard but great. Anyway, this is one hard AF game. After Shattered Soldier, I immediately got a hold of this and it was totally badass!

+BBountyHuntyr This trick used for all character Stage 2 Have a Heat Plasma Weapon and keep it until the Helicopter boss. Go straight to the right ledge where you can destroy the 4 Alligators in one charge shot, keep shooting the Alligators for points and the bomb to keep the combo meter. DO NOT DESTROY ITS FIRST FORM. You can rack up at least 80 mil point until Negative Penalty kick in. Sayuri was already blessed with her charge long range blade so she was like a free card for this matter.

@cycobear86 and, just to end, how do you know that information about relation father and daughter between sayuri and tiberius? that is not mentioned in the game.

It's not, this is a real time game play on rising mode, which means he's playing the character with maxium upgrades, that's why the blade attack is extreamly as fast as hell, and it looks so "tool assisted" ^_^
How is this game exactly tied to Contra Hard Corps? I see no resemblence. Where's the friggin cyborg wolf? Where's Sheena? Plus that heavy metal music don't fit. I guess that in another alternate universe Dizzy, Baiken, and Sol Bad Guy were contra soldiers
Story-wise, there isn't much of a connection. I think this is supposed to be a prequel to the original Contra, but gameplay-wise, this is a spiritual successor to Hard Corps.
I think contra lost me when I see it as an anime. Sorry guys but the original contra game had a dude who looked like Arnold Schwarzenegger and the other dude looked like Rambo

Yeah definitely same style as Shattered Soldier. Only thing I hate about this game is the voices lol.
It's like this character is so overpowered there's no reason to choose the other ones.

exactly but then i heard the jingle at the end of the stage..what?
This game lost me as a Contra game the moment it introduced forced stealth segments and escort missions.

It will be difficult to clear this game with no death in arcade mode unless have a fairly arcade soul.

In case you're still wondering, no, it's not. He just knows the levels well and has all the upgrades.
