- It's been a fair few months since I've done any layout videos for the channel, all is explained in this short video,
I've started a new mini layout which will be based on a British Rail Manufacturing plant, paint shop & TMD.
With a scenic section of 180 x 70cm i plan to keep this project managable with a simple track plan & minimal electronics.

The shed is a setback but will be rectified in the Summer, for the moment I wanted to build something, a small project so I can keep my hand in and of course, film some locos 😜I enjoy the film editing as much as building the layout ! all the best & thanks again.......Andy

Hi Andy, good to see you & thanks for your comment. I've purposely made a small layout so it doesn't get overwhelming and as you say I should be able to fit a lot of detail into it without massive expense or time. The main aim is of course to get the shed repaired but this little project is to get me back into the modelling spirit 😊 All the best.....Andy

Hi Mark & thanks for your comment. Yes, the shed can be repaired but I'll wait until warmer weather to take the roof off, I didn't fancy starting a layout build in a damp room ! I'm looking forward to posting up again & moreover getting some scenery & other bits built. All the best........Andy

oops, roof leaks! When I built my 5 x 3 M Railway cabin, the roof was insulated, with waterproof lining and shingles. all is fine. Hope you get yours done.
Hi DJB, the shed is about 16 years old now so I think it's the shingles that have expired. I think this is about right for the life of roofing felt. New roof in the summer ☀️ thanks for watching 👍......Andy
