Just got my Zoia this week and I already love it so much. I’m not sure if my software development background is helping here, but I find the interface to be super intuitive. For my use, it’s so much easier and more flexible than a massive board of individual pedals. The possibilities are mind boggling.
Good work E. I have a ZOIA due here in a couple days now, to combine with the Liven's, the Nanoloop FM, Model:Cycles, Volca Drum, and pajen's version of Volca Sample... 😁 ....ZOIA is like a slightly miniaturized, and re-desiged/updated massively upgraded interface OG Nord Micro Mod.... That finally abandons the PC..... 😁
It does seem tricky if you look at the finished presets, but it's a bit like Legos, you can keep things simple, or build more complex stuff will lots of easier steps. Good luck! 🍀
Hey Robert, thanks for the feedback. I think the main advantage of the ZOIA is that you can build any kind of effect chain you can dream up. For a single Reverb, it's definitely overkill, but If you want an amp sim going into three different separate Reverb algorithms, then have them all going into a flanger, the ZOIA can do that no sweat. If you want any effect to react to you're playing dynamics Iike an auto-filter, the ZOIA I can do that too. In some ways the situation is similar to Willie Nelson's approach VS. Les Paul's approach, Willie has used the same guitar for most of his career and knows it backwards and forwards, on the other hand, Les was a guitar innovator who pushed guitar tech forward in countless ways. Both are phenomenal guitar players but had very different approaches to guitar equipment. Anyway just my 2 cents, Thanks for watching the vid.
Can we arrange somehow the zoia to output modulation and time effects into effects loop of amps and distortions in front of preamps? For example the line6 hx has stereo fx loop output Thanks!
The ZOIA has two inputs and two outputs, so you should be able to simply plug the fx loop sends into the ZOIA inputs, and then the ZOIA outputs into the effect loop return. After that you can use a stereo preset patch, or create your own with the interface>input and interface>output modules. You would need to set those ZOIA module to stereo so it can input and output both channels. Hope this helps!
@@IRONSILVER22 Yes that is a configuration for putting the zoia to stereo fx loops. I was asking if we can somehow do this and also put overdrive in front of the amps we use before the fx loop. It could be possible if the 4 input outputs have each one stereo capability...is this what you mean with the stereo preset?
I believe you can use the input to an overdrive and time effects followed by individual out puts for each. The output connected from the overdrive, plug it into the front if amp, while the time effects output to your effects return. Don't forget to plug in the effects send to the input corresponding to your time effects in the zoia. With this, you can't have stereo time effects. Just a guess.
Its from a power adapter that can switch tip size and voltage, the modern version is a Hosa ACD-477. Super handy for different electronic gadgets around the studio. They have them on Sweetwater. Have a great week!

Ordered my zoia ... watching this while waiting! Thanks a lot

I didn't know Kirk Hammett made these type of tutorials. Nice...
hahah, I had to look that one up, yeah our voices are somewhat similar. Good catch!
@@IRONSILVER22 I think you have more Kirk Hammett voice, than Kirk Hammett itself;) btw, great vids. THX
This thing seems so complex 😥. I like it but don’t know if my tiny mind can handle it.

Isn't it a bit complicated to achieve just this reverb sound?I get it in a minute on my Ventris.
Thx for your post.Interesting pedal for sure!

This is a workflow tutorial ... an experienced user of Zoia would work a lot quicker than this and be making more complex patches.

@@lffggvkiyyffxsdg I'm not quite sure what your asking, but I hope this helps. Each plug sends one mono signal each, not stereo.

where did you get that white adapter?

ChipperSwitch I can’t seem to find one of those in white like you have
@@mayito3334 Yeah, I think mine is radio shack branded, and now that they've closed its hard to get their products.
