How can suffering be considered a gift? Well, because all that God gives out of love is very good and becomes a blessing to all who love God. Will suffering be a blessing to all people? Not to those who don't believe. Suffering to unbelievers becomes a curse, because in it, they curse God, blame God for wrong doing and suffering makes their hearts hard just like it did to Pharaoh in the Exodus of Israel by the plagues God sent.
