Wild Horses In The Enchanted Forest

After an afternoon of spring blizzards, wild blowing winds, muddy, nearly impassable roads, just before dark we found this beautiful band of wildhorses. They were tucked away in the enchanted forest, an area we so love and have had many beautiful encounters in. They were totally sheltered from the storm, but as you'll see, they were all soaked from a day of wet, soggy snow.
Some of you may recognize this band from previous videos, we found them again, yay! The beautiful blue eyed mare is Shikoba, she was pregnant in this video and we learned a few days later that she had her first ever foal, Sarge, but unfortunately had complications, and so sarge was rescued by a local wild horse organization and put with a nurse mare. He's doing quite well now thankfully! Sabrina is the other paint mare, who appears is also quite close to foaling, so hopefully we'll be meeting her little babe one of these days soon! The shivering little chestnut girl with the piercing eyes is Artemis, we met her as a newborn last spring and Meg named her.
This was a wonderful way to end a long, stormy day. We are always so grateful for the moments we are able to share with these beautiful beings.
