  • Finally got to my first 3300 elevator. It does ride very smooth, but like any MRL, the quality of the elevator feels cheap. I'd equate it to a fast food toy rather than a durable, industrial product. I'm stocked that the door close button now works in standard operation.

      Nice. So far it is my first & only 3300 I have been on. There's a chance I'll ride a few next week, possibly.

    Schindler 3100 is recently introduced. Designed for 2-3 floors, travel distance up to 48ft, speed 100fpm. Design looks similar to 5500 except shorter height panel, not flushed, no white LED's on buttons.

    Same elevator in a restaurant. Just missing the floor bell, the door indicator and a different cab bell

      I only discovered recently that 3300 is nearly non-existent in the state of California.

    this elevator looks fine for the bell to ring let the doors close then press the button before the doors close all the way

      alpalJL Yep... Mermaids... downtown!! I can't tell you how many times that dumb little casino with the 1,000 gallon margaritas and the deep fried Twinkies has saved my trip with a $1,000 (or more) jackpot!! (I know it's at least 10 times!)

      It sure would be interesting if Schindler were to being back standard geared and gearless traction elevator systems, since geared and gearless are much more durable and better quality than MRL.

    • @blueauraretriever
      @blueauraretriever Před 7 lety

      ***** Think of it this way: MRL elevators are much faster then hydraulic elevators, more energy efficient, and costs the building a reduced energy bill every year. One day, hopefully, I'll begin working with OTIS on a few months on a Gen2 model which can go up to 60 stories, 6 m/s, and 10x as durable as the best regular traction elevator out there

    They feel fairly well built. It's a shame they aren't like Mitsy elevators, which are super smooth. But hey... its better than 330A

    • @ElevationStationProductions
      @ElevationStationProductions Před 8 lety

      Only one complaint... they NEED to rethink those chimes. It's not "cool" to have your chimes sound like they come from an 8 year old speaker.

      I recently visited a new office building in my town with KONE elevators similar to this, only difference is it's black instead of white. Looks like this is the trend for new elevators.

    ADA compliance really destroys the original button design (FI GL and FI GS). I'm sure you would have liked these original buttons installed in the rest of the world.
