Just subbed! Cant wait for my gravel bike and I'm going with these tires cant wait to try the setup. After watching your vids I think were similar riders as in my mtb is too much for road ridding but I enjoy riding road and gravel a lot probably more than mtb trails. I want a comfortable fast bike that doesn't make me look crazy riding around the neighborhood or local paths. I'm excited to see what updates you bring us!
Yes sounds like we are similar riders! I love the Revolt, it's an awesome bike! Run about the 2 wheel set up, it really gives your the best of both worlds for sure!
I had that same year model with two wheelsets, giant's cxr2 and the slr2 for road. It definitely works as a roadie and feels more stable too. I love the revolt so much that I got the 2022 version and transferred my wheels over. The cxr2 carbon wheels are very tough and the slr2's give it a more aero edge.
Nice! I love this bike! I've thought about upgrading but I may wait a while, I'll hit 10,000 miles on mine in March or April, depending on weather here in KY. I kinda want to see how many miles I can get out of her now. Still love the bike after all these miles.

I have the contens ar and i use 32c road tyres. I'm thirsty fir the 2022 revolt it looks amazing. If i get one i would probably use 2 set of wheels. Pirelli Cinturato Velo TLR both road and gravel look amazing. Continental contact urban is a nice hybrid road tyre.
Nice. Looking forward to getting back out, I’ve put 28 Continental GP 5000 on my pure road bike (Spesh Allez) and an as yet unridden Giant Revolt. Surgery semi- unexpectedly put a stop to things
Hate to hear that for you. I liked the GP 5000s a lot, good tires and I'm sure they'll be great on the Revolt. How you feel better soon and get out on the Revolt.

Thanks for the review, I'm thinking about doing exactly the same thing with the same bike so really helpful! A couple of questions if ok - what model Revolt is it (and is it 2x or 1x) and what pedals are you using, SPD-SL or SPD etc?
Thank you very much. I have the Revolt Advanced Pro 1 with 2X.i use SPD MTB shoes for ease of walking when off the bike. I find they work best but I've thought of getting some road shoes for longer road rides, not sure if I'll move to them or not though.
Great video! Can you tell much difference in performance or times with alloy DT Swiss wheelset v. Giant? I recently picked up a 2020 Revolt Advanced Pro 0 with carbon Industry 9 wheelset and Gravelking 43's. I also want to make it all-in-one and plan to use the I9s for road and get a gravel-specific wheelset. Trying to weigh pros/cons of alloy v. carbon for gravel wheels (other than the obvious cost difference). Thanks.
Actually for me I think the tires are the big difference in speed more than the wheels. When I put the Schwalbe Pro Ones on my Giant carbon wheels I had a noticeable increase in speed and I've set a lot of personal records on the road tires vs the gravel tires. I probably average 1-2 miles an hour faster depending on the day and goals of the ride. As far as feel the giant tires with the road tires definitely "feels" like a road bike and the DT with the gravel tires feels more like a 4x4 truck. I never put road tires on the DT swiss but I'd bet they feel a little slower but probably not a drastic change. Though keep in mind I'm not a fast or powerful cyclist so I'm sure a racer would have very different results or comments. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Maybe very light gravel but nothing chunky or technical. It would also be rough on climbs and I feel more likely to puncture.
Hi! Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking about doing the 2wheels set on my Revolt advanced 2. Do you have to adjust the derailleur when you switch cassettes?
No for me at shifts just fine. I've seen some other people doing 2 wheel sets and most seem to not need to adjust anything when switching. It seems as long as you are getting standard wheels you should not need to make any adjustments.
Hi buddy, just sub'd and about to get the giant revolt E + and I will mainly be on the road. Did you say you are using the standard rims that came with the giant and now have put on a 32c tyre. If so that is what I want to do. Could you advise if you have used a tyre slime in yours for punctures. Also could I ask what pedals you use as I use MTB ones, any other tips you could provide with setting up the bike would be appreciated, Cheers Mike in NZ.
Mike - the Revolt E+ looks like a great bike man congrats! Yes I an using the standard wheels/rims that came with the bike. I have carbon and I think the E + may have aluminum but I'd use them and see how you like it, you can always upgrade later if you want. Yes I use tubeless so I use Stan's sealant, been great for me so far. I use MTB pedals as well, I love that I can walk in the shoes and I have been using them for years, I didn't see the reason to upgrade for me. If you're a racer I see the benefits of road specific pedels and shoes but not for me. I actually use Garmin power pedals and love them! Great pedals for sure but they use standard Shimano MTB cleats so it was a no brainer for me. As for other set up tips I always recommend to get a good fit so your more comfortable, maybe the shop you bought your bike from will do one for you for free actually. Once you get a good fit just ride and adjust as necessary, as you ride you'll learn what you like and what suites your riding style. I would also recommend getting a good basic tool, levers, an on bike pump and/Co2 canisters, enough stuff so you can get back home if you have a minor mechanical or a flad tire. Also a tire tube. Even though your tubeless having an extra tube is critical as you do longer rides. Let me know if you have any other questions or if I can help you out. Just get out and ride man.
