    For future reviews I'd like a few comments on the noise level. From my research this seems to be one of the quieter ones than the competitors at the same price range but I could have missed out some brands / models. However, I liked that you pointed out about the depth due to the bigger drum size. Thanks for the video and for going through the buttons on the control panel, it's much appreciated.

    I love the controls of the certain previous Serie 6 models (like WAT286H9 ones). They have full touch display, much easier to select options like Temperature and Spin speed.
    I love the fact that this one as the cheeky little cover on the door, which is an excellent insulator if you wash at 60 or 90 programmes.

    The new Bosch Serie 6 doesn't have an indicator on the display for energy use and doesn't keep alternating the display between wash time and capacity but that may be because the washing machine door is closed. It would be nice to have a volume control button for control panel sounds and end of wash sound.

    I have watched several of your videos and am very impressed with your demonstrations. I have bought a series 8 10kg I-Dos machine and have been learning about the different settings before my machine arrives. I am still trying to find out if I can put the detergent most often used in the RH dispenser and a wool detergent in another and that the machine will select the correct detergent automatically. I do not use softener very oftern. Do I put the wool detergent in the softener compartment or the LH one. If I put it in the LH one is the wool or delicate setting automatic or does it become manual dosing on a wool cycle?

    • @lords-electrical

      Really depending on the wash load you are doing but if it's a full load then really the eco 40 - 60 is the most efficient wash to do. Can take around 3 - 4 hours per load but uses less water and electric than a cotton full load

    I have just bought this machine and just put on the first wash...using the Eco programme. When I saw it would take nearly 4hrs and selected the Speed Perfect button, however, the light didn't stay on and the time didn't change. Have I got a faulty machine or can't I select Speed Perfect for the Eco programme? It doesn't say anything in the instructions.

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Před 9 měsíci +3

      It isn't a faulty machine, Speed perfect won't work with the Eco option unfortunately. If you want a quicker wash with the full load then you will need to select the Cotton program.

    Hi Andy, love love love your video on the control instruction features, I'm new to Bosch and am so happy with my new 9kg Bosch, a much bigger drum to my 12 year old 7kg LG.
    Just a question for you, on the drum clean cycle would you recommend using bicard soda for drum cleaning as I find this a perfect solution for my dishwasher or do you recommend something else?

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Před rokem +1

      Bicarb can be good for a machine, especially if you are using it from new, but we would normally just recommend doing a service was once a month where you put a 90 degree wash on with nothing in it. That can be as affective as using bicarb.

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Před 2 lety +1

      Apparantly not. The 7kg market is rapidly in decline and the 9 and 10kg is increasing so over the next 12 months we will see a lot less smaller load machines

    Andy do I need a aquastop inlet hose? Can’t seem to find one? What do you think or can you recommend one. Or am I ok with the one it comes with? Many thanks in advance and great service you do, God Bless 🙏🏽❤️

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Před 6 měsíci +1

      If the machine arrives with a normal hose I would stick with that. The whole aquastop concept is good nut can sometimes be a pain to install. Also you may find that if you install a different hose to the manufacturers one then if there is a fault then bosch may not validate the warranty if its linked to the hose

    • @lords-electrical

      The main things that will vary will be the load size and spin speeds for the machine. Also on the some of the higher range of appliances, the display looks smarter and easier to read too.

    • @lords-electrical

    Andy great video as always - does 10kg mean you can put 10kg of dry clothes in it? Do any machines have a live readout about how much washing has been put in like a set of scales? Also, what is the longest wash cycle you have seen on any machine?

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes it is 10kg of dry clothes you can put in there. We don't have any machines now that have a live readout with the level of washing in. Siemens used to do a range of machines that had this feature on and it was brilliant.
      Longest wash cycle i can't really remember but it will be on modern machines at over 4 hours which as much as an ambassador for eco and long washes as i am, 4 hours is way too long really.

    • @hitchjack
      @hitchjack Před 2 lety +1

      @@lords-electrical that can be your challenge from now on, to find the longest cycle in your walkthrough vids! I guess 4 hours would be fine, we use our machine overnight to coincide with economy 7 so time makes no difference there.
