This role BELONGED to Al Corley
the best scene ever aired in 1980's US TV - AIDS was killing us, but Dynasty stood up for us and had a gay character. Thank you Dynasty from that 5 year old little boy who remembers watching this episode as if it was yesterday
I'm glad you had this as an inspiration my friend 🌈🌹
Dynasty helped me to realise I was bisexual. Apart from Heather Locklear, I've always fancied Michael Nader and John Forsythe.
I'm gay, older than you and remember watching this. I was more interested in another cat fight with Krystle and Alexis. That bitch!
When successive writers didn't try to keep back-peddling and relaunch him as a bi-sexual or a straight guy with a little confusion that comes on now and then, possibly in response to some sensible audience outrage over switching him from being gay to not overly either. This even annoyed Al Corley, who left too early, but I'm so glad he returned for the 1991 reunion show closer. But you're right, the show STILL did a great thing in the face of AIDS, despite this annoying hang-up.
I always preferred Al Corley over Jack Coleman.
Jack Coleman is 1000X sexier.
Raise your hand if you came from the JBP and typed in “Steven is gay”
😂😂😂😂😂... 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
guilty 🤚🏾😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Steven Is Gay🤣🤣
Are you a wizard of some sort? 🤯😭😭

Fallon Was The Only Person Who Had The Courage To Say "Steven Is Gay" 🏳️🌈
Krystle should have said it first
@@TheloniousJackson That Was An Emotional Scene For Viewers At Home, Excellent TV Show 📺
I’m glad he’s one of the first characters in a soap opera to be a part of the lgbtq community
But the producers eventually married him to Claudia...
Why are you glad it’s HIM ??
@@miloseviczarko45 yeah ik that’s sad
@@primetimepapi8976 bc it’s a rich person that he is one of the only carringtons that aren’t addicted to jewelry and stuff
@@miloseviczarko45 We call it 'caving in' so people shouldn't really fondly recall Dynasty of being pro-gay with a central character-when they changed actor, they seemed to merely decide to change his sexuality with it-to the sexuality of everybody else in the show, and virtually every other show then. Films too.
Shoutout to the JBP
😂😂😂that’s the only reason I’m here
if only he answered “to be gay” when asked where he was going.. my life would have been made
Or...."i gotta lot of gay guy stuff i gotta go do. Or to put it another way....a lot of guys i gotta go do. Hate/love ya anyway guys...byeeeeeee"
Probably in the top 5 most emotional and most brilliant scenes in all the show.
Blake Carrington's misogynistic ways are totally unacceptable!
The music. Oh, the music.
JBP dammit 😂. Mad dramatic music.
JBP SAY IT WITH ME “STEVEN IS GAY”🤣🤣
😅
it must be serious if Joseph the butler has to be present during what should have been a private family matter but I guess Joseph was like family to the Carringtons!
Literally came from the Joe Budden podcast and looked this up 😂😭😭
Same, paused the pod and I’m here now lol
Joe got me here 😂
Steven is gay! So what ??? It’s just how he was born, and there ‘s nothing wrong with it! God loves all of us! Blessings 😇
Dammit JBP 🤣😂 (this videos views are about to increase)
Watching season one finale now. How this series changed during season two.
Notice at 02:04 Steven turns away to look in Krystle’s direction after Fallon says “Steven is gay”, although we are supposed to presume he is looking at Fallon (who is standing beside Blake). I don’t know if this is true, but I’ve heard that Krystle was supposed to say that line but they weren’t happy with Linda Evans’s delivery of it, so it was cut. I assume they later filmed Fallon saying it then edited that in? May not be true of course.
Thats true, Pamela Sue Martin (Fallon) told in an 1992 interview that Linda Evans should say the line but it seemed "wrong". Somehow they finished it but producers were not satisfied in the post production. So about 2 weeks later they had to re-shoot the "Steven is gay" moment with Pamela Sue Martin. You can see that her hair is totally different in the close-up when she say "Steven is gay" (compare 1:47 and 1:57).
What's the track?👼
Jbp is lowkey the best podcast always expanding my pallet
All I hear is Flip's voice in the background yelling "Steven is gay!" 😭😭
😂😂😂
shoutout to everybody in the comments here from The Joe Budden Podcast 😂😂😂😂😂
i think the question we should be asking ourselves is why such a video was in Joes algorithm 😂😂😂😂
MediaMarc gon be like where the FUCK all these random views come from? 😂
I figured it out though 😄😁
8.8k views wow slow down
Al Corley finale episode before leaving Dynasty ?
Even Alexis his own mother couldn't say it, thats effed up...but no different than real life unfortunately for alot of people.
It still that way in my family my parents can't say the word. What I am, I was 20 then and at 36 I was Mr Gay Pride of Arizona 2001 and 02. Now 58 years old this clip brought back the ugliness in family's rich or poor. We've came along way of accepting and tolerance being gay.
I knew it. I'm gay
BRAVO~
This is so gay! 😎🖤👍
Part of me feels like this should have been the end of Steven. It would have been more powerful than bringing a recast in and make him all sexual confused again.
Also Jack Coleman is far less hirsute than hot Al, so that looks odd too. These days, though, you'd be hard pressed to find a real man anywhere, and that's not just on screen. Shaving, waxing, and plucking every inch of themselves bar the face and head is the bloody nauseating and wholly unmanly norm EVERYWHERE. It's a completely acceptable body-shaming thing that has become so ingrained, any man not part of it is now looked upon as an aberrant throwback! And people say it's only women that get body-shamed. Well both sexes are guilty of this for sorts of utterly ridiculous reasons, and it's just one more reason to think things were better before the turn of the century.
People seem to only ever want to change things that don't need changing (for the worse) en masse, but by the same token hang on to old outdated 'traditions' best left evaporated that they really shouldn't, en masse. And they remain so proud of it.

I prefer Steven 2.0.
Ayo Steven is hella gay. Shout out the JBP
Jbp jbp where would we be without the jbp!!! 🙌🏾
Seré el único interesado aquí , que habla y comenta en español 😅
ídolo
JC is looking almost dowdy. Maybe she took some fashion tips from from her now out gay son for later episodes
"It's the JBP! JBP! Where would you be without the JBP?!"
