The fact that probably 90% of the country have never even heard of Regina Spektor whilst Taylor Swift, Lizzo, Cardi B, etc. dominate charts/popularity tells someone everything they need to know about the state of music/artistry. Regina is every bit the spiritual successor to brilliant female artists like Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Carly Simon, etc.
