I remember the original. It was amazing. So sad how reformulation changed it so much. I now only own the summer version of it but I forget which year it is. I like it quite a bit.
Nuit d'Issey Austral Expedition imo is a better rendition of this series. The added coriander note softens the leather and woods and gives the citrus freshness a herbal allure.
L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme is really the best from the brand, though it doesn't seem to last long on me. I have and enjoy Or Encens, Noir Ambre and Noir Argent. I also have Fusion Extreme, but it's just ok - it really smells like a lot of other designer fragrannces out there. Nice coconut note, if you're into that sort of thing.
You must try the fraish version from 2016, it is like a mix of OG and Sport with added good dose of ambroxan - very long lasting , bitter sparkling and chic and elegant Thanks for the review.
Thank you for reviewing Issey Miyake! The original Leau Dissey pour homme is my favorite and have used it for years but haven’t bought myself a new bottle. I need to. I’ve always had compliments wearing this fragrance in the boardroom. Bravo! This fragrance is definitely a classic.
Leau Dissey Pour Homme is my dad's signature and he has had since it was released. I've been smelling for so many years and it's also my reason for wanting to get into the frag game and find my own signature (Burlington 1819). I will always love Issey Miyake's Leau Dissey Pour Homme and have it in my collection. I've been collecting all the variants of batches and they are all great, just missing the first batch now. Even the current ones (sheseido), although not too strong... still smell similar enough and keep the DNA well. Great timeless scent in my opinion and Thank you for the video on the house ❤
I enjoy this house! Nuit d'Issey is the grandfather of This is Him and Nuit d'Issey Parfum is a clear inspiration for the Z&V. Or Encens is the best for me, followed by PoTN and then Ambre Nuit which, disappointingly, smells very close to Arabian Oud's Kalemat, which I already had in my collection.
Few months ago I got the chance to try L’Eau Super Majeure d’Issey, reminds me of AdG Profumo. I used to own L’Eau d’Issey original when I was younger. Back then I only wore freshies😅
There is also L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme Vétiver which was horrible and I couldn't smell it after 30 mins. One of my worst blind buys (together with Prada Luna Rossa EDP) in 2023.
L'Eau d'Issey will ALWAYS have a spot in my collection. It provokes the most nostalgia out of everything I own.

Issey Miyake Intense is amazing for the price and longevity is off the scale!

You should try L'Eau d'Issey Intense, it's a great mix of the original's fresh yuzu with some amber and incense in the drydown.
I have many many fragrances but the Issey get me the most compliments.
The new Vetiver is fantastic as well

I recently revisited the original and I agree, it doesn't smell dated at all.

Eau & Cedre also has grapefruit and cypress in it. So it has some citrus in it. I like this one, it is indeed a little boring, but it smells good.
