About Us is a musical band from Nagaland, India experimenting all class of rock. They have also signed a multi-record deal with an Italian based record label 'Frontiers Music Srl' from Italy. It's been 10 years since our band broke up but looking forward for the reunion in the future. Thank you DU for bringing back all the memories.
The only thing that I regret in my life is being born in 2000era ... I prefer those 80/ 90's vibe where life seems to have freedom,full of fun, and especially a good taste in music❤
Been 12 years or more, our band did not have any education in music (self taught), never played in any big concerts nor recognised by any big time musicians but we loved playing music. We grab every little opportunity to cover songs and perform wherever we could (churches, students conferences, Christmas gatherings, talent nights etc). We named our band 'Black Pearls' (name of a ship from the movie 'Pirates of the Caribbean') we found it really cool dey 😂. Years went by but never had we thought of dropping our guitars, drums and mics to leave it in the corner of the room to gather dust. Alas! We had to depart to pursue higher education to chase the dream of 'White collared Job' and that is what our elders thought were best for us. Dear mates, if you see this I want you to know that I really miss our performances.

to each their own, "personally" About Us is one of the best in Nagaland!!! One of my favourite bands!
They're good but definitely not the best. They do draw influence from the 80s and 90s glam rock & metal bands as it's evident in their music and appeal to a lot of us millenials. But there are other good bands with unique sounds like , Trance Effect, Polar Lights, The Paradigm Shift, to name a few.

My dad and his 3 brothers are all musician...one of my uncle was the drummer of "King Apple" one of the major Rock Band in Shillong in the 80's and 90's and my dad was a touring member... coming from a family of musicians i really love music and it's in my blood...but while i was still in class 9 my dad found out that i was learning the guitar, he really got so pissed off that he literally broke the guitar and shouted at me...he was really against me learning or pursuing music and told me to focus on my studies...after watching this video i can really relate and understood why my dad was against me learning music because life of a musician was very hard in those days... it's been 12 years since my dad passed after battling with lung cancer, really miss my dad and my uncles....thank you Dreamz Unlimited for this video...more power to you guys...✊🏿👊🏿

We participated in BSNL road show. 2006. And many more beat contest. Those were the times, I was a led guitarist.
My legs went numb sitting for more than 30mins in the toilet. And I forgot I was even shitting! 🤦🏻♂️

5 of us classmates in school started a band in 2015. 1 from Haflong (Hmar), 1 from Tura (Garo), 1 from Guwahati (Assamese), one Manipuri and me from Nagaland, so we named it "Door to the East" aka DTTE. Played every chance we got, practised, had countless jam sessions, had arguments (like drummer not stopping when guitarists try to tune guitars etc if you know you know), learnt for hours and hours on youtube, used saved money for equipment - but most of all made some of the best memories in teen years performing in school and rock band battles. I know this is more recent than all my other senior brothers and uncles here, but still - musician to musician - we know what it means. Alas, we didn't even know that we had already played our last time together in 2019-20, and just like that, everyone's gone their own paths. But such is life! Hoping to reunite with my brothers soon.
Edit: Thanks to DU for reminding all of us about the value of such times - they were definitely not wasted!

I cried 😢 coz we had a similar misunderstanding among our friends (band). We entertained every event and functions from Highschool till graduation year Cheerio program but dejection flaunted our way. It has been 10 years 😭. No surprise we all watch DU and you guys will go through my comment 😅

Reading the comments here was a bit overwhelming...Many of them talking about their, their parents' good old days and lost dreams. I don't know how many gems went unnoticed and got lost. Really hope all those who are wishing for a reunion may have that and have a great time jamming with their bandmates...
I had a band called "MODE" and we went on performing at different churches of different tribes... There was a time we had to perform in Ao Church and we didn't had guitar belt and no Chairs around to sit and play so we had to use Bosta Rushi to tie the guitar and hang it in our shoulder... Then in the middle of the performance, my bosta rushi broke and the performance flopped. I can never forget that moment in time.
Reminds me of how Mom talks about Dad's younger days when he was really into music and played bass in a band. Heard They also performed on few stages and tried to write songs, but it didn't work out, and the band split. Dad’s now 57 and still loves music and plays guitar at home. And Whenever there's a talent show or event in our village, Dad and his friends are always there to perform, adding a special touch. Any event feels incomplete without them.

Took me back to my college days 20 yrs back. We used to have similar dreams of building a career in music yet it becomes a fantasy. Life separates each one of us in different towns and cities in search of a job... Back then, music wasn't a good option for survival.

Why am I crying 🥹 I love music a lot and me n my high school mates we had a band but sadly our vocalist died due to health issues and we disbanded and I’m in college now and I still miss them and now I’m missing them more now 🥹 I still wish to go back to those days
Atu and wife acting and conversation in this episode is so natural as if it's happening in real time 👍 👍 and about sunep acting is so natural but i feel there is no need to put extra josh during conversation by increasing the pitch and volume which appears artificial at times so my humble suggestion is lower your tone and let the conversation natural . This episode is so realistic and sentimental at the same time which I would say one of the best episodes so far. Expecting more videos like this in days ahead. Very very much appreciated.
One of the hardest parts being a vocalist back then was writing lyrics while playing tape recorder, constantly pausing, rewinding and fast-forwarding. It was tough to come up with original lyrics in those days. I really miss all the band members who used to play music with me😢😢😢

I have my best friend and we sang on every occasion and church but we never tried to make proper videos and upload them on CZcams or any other apps .Parents ,guardians, friends and even strangers told us to open CZcams and sing together because,we sound best in duet , and dreams unlimited giving us more confidence to upload in a social media.I hope We can make this successful one day 🙏🙏🙏

the cast of Dreamz Unlimited is a bunch of talented men and the director himself is a man with creativity and ideas. damn, this chapter of dreamz ulimited is my favorite as I am a rock fan myself. I have been to About Us live concert (where they performed their debut songs that went gold Gimme Gimme and other cover songs like Another Day by Dream Theatre and so much more) when they visited Imphal before this Kuki - Meitei war erupted. i Hope Dreamz Unlimited reaches out to the sufferings of Kukis too one day. be the harbinger of peace and hope. all my love and support from Kukiland.
