Thousands march through Bristol to call for end to Israel attack on Gaza

Thousands of people are taking to the streets of Bristol to show support for the people of Palestine as Israel intensifies its military action in the Gaza Strip. The demonstration is organised by the Palestine Solidarity Movement in Bristol, who are calling for peace in Israel and Palestine and says Israel should stop its bombardment of the Gaza Strip, which has killed thousands of Palestinians, in response to the attacks by Hamas in Israel in early October.
The demonstration is to take place on Sunday afternoon, a day after most of the protests took place in cities across the country, including a huge demonstration in London. Around 100,000 people were expected to be joining a demonstration in London on Saturday, demanding a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war, with other rallies organised elsewhere in the UK - including in Manchester and Glasgow.
