  • This trip, I am spending 3 days solo camping deep in the Alberta Rocky Mountains at one of the most beautiful high alpine lakes in the entire world. I'll be doing some hiking, cooking up some good food, fishing, getting really cool drone shots and even taking a couple cold dips. If you like that kind of stuff I think you'll like this! #mountains #lake #catchandcook #hiking #backpacking #nature

    Good lord - the scenery alone is absolutely beautiful. At video time 10:30 and 18:45 it felt like a painting Bob Ross would have made. just gorgeous. Loved the video man!

    This was absolutely amazing! The countryside there is so beautiful, I never get tired of seeing it! That one fish you caught by the belly or tail made me laugh so hard😂 .. As easy as it is to catch fish there, you could live there for weeks! You're the only person I've ever seen that cooks bread on a campfire, I'm going to have to try that.. do you make the dough or do you buy it? I could not believe you slurped up all those fish eggs 🤢 lol it was cool to watch but I wouldn't want to do it..haha as always you had such beautiful drone footage.. Towards the end you look so sunburned, I'm sure you were so tired but it made me want to go camping haha there is so much more I can say but I will end for now. Thanks for working so hard to put out such a good content for us to see!

      Yea dude I could probably live out there for a while haha! Second day I didn't put sunscreen on as I assumed I still had some left but I guess the water probably washed it off. Nose was quite burnt, gotta be better!

    Amazing hike and video! The views on top are unbelievable. I think we are not too far off and definitely one of the hike I want to do. I am heading to Jasper today for a few nights and excited to explore that part of the area.

    Was there a trail leading to the ridge that you camped at, or did you have to find your own way up? Great video BTW.

    • @Nic_Chy
      @Nic_Chy  Před měsícem +1

      Thanks! There was a couple different trails up there. The way I took was steep and difficult, I ended up finding a much easier way after haha, but yea definitely a trail

    Hey Nic great vid btw, what altitude is that? Thanks

    • @Nic_Chy
      @Nic_Chy  Před měsícem

      @MrGonza74 Thanks dude! The lake was almost exactly 7000ft. My hometown Calgary is roughly 4000ft, everything is decently high up. This hike started at about 5500. Highest mountain around here I think is 12,000 maybe

    There's a reason why they don't allow drones and such out there in the National parks ... strange lights , climbers at night ..strange sounds ..rock slides .. How are you , there only one there ..?? Others would surely have the same idea .

    • @Nic_Chy
      @Nic_Chy  Před měsícem +1

      @user-mj4yo7pi9j "In Canada's national parks, the landing and take-off of an unmanned air vehicle (UAV) - also known as a drone - is prohibited."
      Cited: parks.canada.ca/pn-np/bc/yoho/gestion-mgmt/acts/drone
      Unfortunately people are too quick to make assumptions, not often reading the fine print. As quoted above, it is illegal to "take off or land". National, provincial or wildland parks don't have authority over airspace and can only control what happens on the ground. Once taken off you can fly wherever you want so long as you land back where you started. The only exception to this rule would be within class F airspace, including but not limited to military bases, government buildings or prisons. I can provide you a phone number to a parks Canada office if you'd like to confirm this with them 👍

    • @Nic_Chy
      @Nic_Chy  Před měsícem

      The concern is appreciated though, many people break these rules!

    I appreciate the effort but it's pretty generic. Setting the camera and walking away shot has been overused in youtube.

    • @Nic_Chy
      @Nic_Chy  Před měsícem +1

      That style is probably overused yea. I think what's not generic is rest of the video, not often do I see these types of videos made in such unique and beautiful locations such as 10:30 and all that, everyone seems to like it so far! Thanks for the feedback :)
