the rake doesn't pick up it helps loosen what's in the carpet. I vacuum rake and vacuum again too pull up more dog hair. if you have animals the hair can get tangled in the fibers in a way that the vacuum can't get it all so the rake un tangles it ❤️🤗 also if you use it after shampooing your carpet it helps it to dry faster and fluffy since it stands the fibers up

I add a little bit of fabric softener as well it's smells amazing and softens the carpet and gets rid of static !!

Hi Becky. Carpet rake is for when you are shampooing your carpet and need to agitate it before extracting. Lots of carpet cleaners use a carpet rake if it needs a light agitation instead of a more aggressive agitation using a CRB (counter rotating brush), therefore, its not used to gather any other debris like a regular broom would.

Thank you for the amazing content. I also watch ThisCrazyLife. What Amanda does with her carpets every now and again is she vacuums like normal but then she slow vacuums. It does take time but it pulls up so much dirt. I remember when she moved so vacuumed her main room once and slow vacuumed and had to empty her canister 6 or so time.

Rubber tipped carpet rakes are only meant to open the carpet up for more complete vacuuming jobs. We use it to get our carpets looking fluffy before and after vacuuming. If you use it before vacuuming you’ll see a significant greater collection in the reservoir of your vacuum afterwards (:

I love love love your new bed!!! I’m tempted to get one for my room. I have been wanting to buy a bed for so long but haven’t found anything that I really liked.
The carpet rake keeps your carpet from getting matted down. If your carpet has longer fibers (like mine) the rake helps get hair that gets tangled out of it and makes it look “fluffy”.
WOW!! That was a great deep clean.
These time lapse cleaning videos really make it look easy. How long did this really take?
Yeah, the rake can loosen some things and if you vacuum again afterward it can pick up more, but mostly it fluffs the carpet fibers so they don’t get that matted down look. And after shampooing the carpet, you can fluff the fibers with the rake while it is still damp to fluff them back up and I think it dries a little quicker too.

I think rakes are mainly to keep your carpet looking nice but I’ve heard they’re also to loosen the dirt in the carpet before vacuuming 😊

LOL, from an older person to a younger one, some hints: A Golden Rule Habit for everyone, that helps you and your family: Pick-up, Put-up and Clean-up as you go. Once in the habit, you will be amazed at the time it saves you and your back. Yes, children learn, you just have to have patience and keep on top of them nicely.
Use your vacuum brush to clean your base boards, blinds, etc. It will pick-up all the dust and make it easier to clean them. Just clean off the brush with your vacuum as you go. Also, always work from the top to the bottom, because dust will fall down on your furniture, carpet and floors. Nice Video

I have a carpet rake but it's different from yours. The bristles are made of this tough rubber and it really pulls up the pet hair out of the carpet but it takes a LOT of time and work because you have to do short strong pulls into the carpet to get a thorough clean but it can still leave behind smaller trash so I go over with my carpet after. I use it in small areas where baby does tummy time and where the dog frequently sits. Really helps with pet and people hair but does not replace a vacuum. I go brush first and then vacuum
