- With the trucks released, the convoy is rolling in Botswana. The environment and pace are an obvious challenge compared to other continents, and the team is dealing with the chaos of a hectic departure. The terrain is insane and the dangers of the African wild become clear. It's evident that Africa sets the pace, not the team. They just don't know it yet.

Seeing the reactions of tourists see things I have seen thousands of times makes me realize how blessed we are to live in such an amazing part of Africa.
You live in an amazing place! It's also understandable that it can wear off as you live it everyday :)
Big up to Pete for that leopard footage! 🙌🏿👌🏿🤌🏿
He did great!
Thank you all for joining us for Episode 2! This is our favorite series to date.
Being from South Africa, Watching this is magical. We forget how beautiful our Country is
You have an incredible country@@AndyTerblanche
This is Botswana. Great country and wildlife indeed 😊
Of course! I love every single expedition you guys do! I am happy you guys are able to experience this and present your travels with us! I am honoured to be a viewer of your amazing videos!
Where can we see photos your guys took on these trips?
looking at the number of bolts coming undone, you need to start using loctite thread lock. Loving the video though it's amazing.
For sure!
100% agree!
Im feeling part of the crew .. excellent documentary @@ExpeditionOverland
@ExpeditionOverland I would recommend looking into Nord-lock washers as well. They're spendy, but best option for reducing fastener loosening from vibrations. Watch a junker vibration test with bolts to see their effectiveness with other options - its crazy! Would be a good idea to put these on critical joints.
wow what an episode 🔥. The edit. The dialogs. the music. the camera shots. just awesome. each and every frame just stunning. waiting for episode 3
Thank you so much!
What an amazing episode. Stunning wildlife. This Africa trip is an amazing experience for everyone.
Can’t wait for episode 3.
I’ve searched for Leopard in the wild for the last 20 years with no luck! You have been duly compensated for the Durban Port delays ❤️. Greetings from South Africa.
The tale of the ball of gold and the ball of clay hits home in a very appreciated way, thank you.
LOCKTITE LOCKTITE LOCKTITE LOCKTITE LOCKTITE. All offroad builds require locktite.
Locktite and spring washers
Exactly Man...
Totally. Ironically many of the bolts had it. Mind blowing.
The shot of your sons face when he saw the leopard was EVERYTHING! Incredible job pivoting to him instead of just shooting the leopard! Chef's Kiss!
When man feels mortal again, love Africa for reminding us of this.
Hahaha... As a South African, to me the most interesting thing to watch are you all reacting to the animals, the bush and everything here in Africa. I hope you enjoyed your trip and African experience.
Well i'd be a kid on christmas morning as well looking at 'em. We don't get to see these amazing beasts outside of documentaries or the zoo.
We enjoyed it so much, thank you!
And to think that we see them almost every holiday....
I want to say : Your Son's Cinematography skills became Hollywood level. In a very short period.
Yes, definitely a decent improvement in video stability from the last episode I wanted to say!
Out of this whole video my favorite part was you being an awesome dad to your son. Shout out to all the dads that build strong, experienced men!
The excitement and fascination on the boys’ faces when they spot the leopard is so pure and wonderful. That’s what being a kid is all about! Clay and Rachelle are truly superstar parents. Giving your boys this adventure is something they’ll never forget. Loving this series!
This is why Toyota trusts your team; you really make sure to see the capabilities of the brand. As a Toyota owner myself [ASIA], it took me to places with 190k miles on it but still a smooth drive. There's a saying that if you want to go up a mountain, drive a Jeep or Ford, but if you want to go home, get a Toyota! Oh yeah, another great content story! Amazing! I can't wait for the next episode.
Wow this series blows away the Nordic series already…great job!
I met another dad at Scout camp in Missouri with an accent not quite British nor Australian. I asked him where it came from and he said Botswana! He lived in the US and worked as an accountant, but after college he did what every young man desired to do. He went to the bush as a safari guide! His vehicle of choice was a 4 door Ford Ranger called a bucky. I was so jealous, there would not be 4 door Rangers in the US for another 10 years. Thanks for showing us Botswana!
Thanks for watching!
I have been following X'Overland for quite some time and it gives me joy to watch the beauty of my country through your lenses. Thank you for visiting my country, Botswana, Our Pride, Your Destination #TIA
Thank you for having us!
After the leopard, everything else is just gravy. Absolutely amazing.
The jurasic park moment @26:00 was unreal
I have never aired down my 1973 Landy and nothing rattled off, as you say. And I used live and work in the bush. Even during the Rhodesian Bush War I never saw anyone air down a military Landy or a Mog.
Tacomas, Tundras and that Sequoia are not built like a Land Cruiser. Heavy duty vs grocery getter with some add ons.
oh yeah the zimbabwean liberation war
You probably did not have a compressor to do so..airing down or up..using air-pressure to get a better ride, better traction is so effective ..I don't see how driving a Landy would change fundamental laws of gravity?
@@artzahara3922 Kak!
Good to see our continent through your eyes. We are blessed to have you as guests
This series has me guessing every second! So good 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
It had us guessing every second we were there!
It’s always so special to be in Africa. When you’ve been once you’re infected and need to come again and again.
This is QUICKLY becoming my favorite series you all have done.
Honestly speaking the video production is so breath taking! I love watching these shows, my new favourite channel 🔥
The production, attention to detail, logistics and teamwork are most impressive. We love this series!
I couldn't imagine having two months to go overlanding. I have a huge crush on Ashley!!
Always liked your adventures being in Africa we sometimes don't appreciate what we have. Seeing the expressions of your family and team makes me appreciate it all over again.
One thing that you need to be aware of, as far as animal sightings and diversity of wildlife you will not see this anywhere else in the world. You will always compare to this. Africa is now in your blood and you will be back.
They are now hooked Peter, they will return sooner or later
YOR ARE LEAVING ❤ MY DREAM 😊😮.
MUCH LOVE FROM 🇮🇳 INDIA
Awesome! what a wonderful gift our Creator has given you to experience! Thank you for allowing me to ride along! { so to speak]
Oh my, you guys have it plush. I was 15 years old when I was in Africa for 9 months. This was 1973, the continent was wild. We had the best equipment to be had then Land Cruiser Pickup and Land Rover Defender. Challenges, danger, I have awesome memories.
Epic!
It's like watching a movie, super crispy clear vision and perfect narration, this is my second best after our own Voetspore.
Yip! You're all going to have to come back! Loving this series. Thanks for taking us along 🤙🏻
Thank you!
I live in Africa and i have not been able to doa journey like this, i know we Souith Africans are beyond Blessed with the land culture and animals but we work to survive and forget all we have, i am so loving this adventure with you your Families and friends and i cannot wait for the next episode, the next adventure, from a South African to you all THANKYOU THAT I AM ABLE TO JOURNNEY WITH YOU IN MY COUNRTY I AM PROUD OF THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME HER WONDER HER JOY and yes her challanges ...but those challagnes are what makes us South African THANKYOU ENJOY
It's actually 4 countries, the world's only Quadripoint, loving your content thus far!!!
i can't wait for this one Africa my home!!
Africa is amazing!
Awesome, love the videography. Agreed, Africa will set the pace, don’t stress so much about a schedule. Wellcome in Africa. Enjoy. Greetings, fellow Overlanders.
This is amazing, cast & crew! You guys are "fan"tastic! I'm so "pumped" for your next episode!
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the quality of your videos. It’s better than watching any TV show on Paramount+
Great job team!!!!!!!!!!
Wow... there isn't much more to say about this series. Africa is beyond beautiful.... The scene in the boat where Doctor John is in pure happiness looking at the elephants was great. Also having the kids go along with you and seeing their reactions to things is great also, I really loved the Leopard scene, the shot of it drinking was unbelievable. Thanks for making the highest quality off road videos. Cheers from New Brunswick, Canada.
Thank you so much watching!
The boat was pretty magical. Thanks for watching:-)
You only see a leopard when the leopard wants you to see it. Because when you see it, the leopard has already seen you miles away.... It's a very highly spiritual animal and it brings great wisdom to the ones who sees it. They communicate to humans by giving humans chills... So.. Listen to those chills, listen to what kinds of chills they give you and you'll understand...
Profound insight! Thank you!
.......ooooookay bud
What an awesome video! The wildlife is amazing! It’s great you’re showing us the perils of driving in the bush. I hadn’t thought of it but it makes sense that the constant vibrations from the road would be loosening the screws on all of the screws. I guess putting thread lock on all of the fasteners would be a good thing. Can’t wait for the next episode! Thank you for bringing us along!
You guys never fail to satisfy every single thing I want to see in an overland video, and you have the most wholesome content out there! Outstanding work ALL of you! You are all awe inspiring, and honestly you are why I got into overlanding years ago and it has changed my life. Cheers, and rock on!
Okavango Delta might be one of the prettiest places on Earth. I miss it.
You guys made your trip backwards from us. We began at Khwai. Khwai, Savuti, Kubu and CKGR are my preferred camp sites. Kasane and Elephant Sand are equals but so much different.
Yes! Problem solving is always something everyone does everyday and sometimes problem solving in the field is what makes it fun! team work makes the dream work!
Fantastic job guys!! Beautiful camera work!!! Andrew St. Pier White from 4xoverland is looking on as the road breaks the vehicles down! Great training experience from those roads!
What a country i live in....been to botswana and Namibie myself...next trip i wana do is go up to the Seringeti when the bigmigrations are giong....hope to see you guys back here soon
My son now 14 learned to drive on our trips...i know he can drive a truck(bakkie) on his own
Dr. John is priceless.
You are too kind, Sir:-)
@TheDakdoc just wondering what brand is your hat? I want one!
@@tomaspacheco6029 Stormy Kromer!
Thank you for giving us viewers access to the intimacy of your families and friendships as well as the intimacy of your voyage of discovery of Africa... This was a pleasure to watch!
I am very familiar with all the places you have visited having grown up in Southern Africa, yet it was very emotional for me to witness the pure pleasure of the experiences you are having! I must also comment on the humility and respect you are showing for the environment in which you find yourselves (I have actually watched CZcams series by foreigners coming to Africa for their "safari's" who then proceed to disrespect everything from the people to the laws of the countries they visit, to the wildlife which just elicit great anger from me)... I doff my hat in respect!
Looking forward to the rest of the series....
The Croft Klan has crushed it once again! Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!! I literally feel like I’m right there with you! Thank you for all of your time and hard work that you put into your productions. Keep em coming!
Thank you! It truly takes a team to make this dream work.
Oh my gosh! What an amazing adventure. I can’t wait for the next episode. Thank you so very much for taking us along.
Amazing publication! We might watch it twice. Now that do you have time to enjoy the Holy Grail of the campfire for necessity and keeping wild animals away, and also for the community with your team. You must miss the Original Fire Reflector just a little 🔥👊🤠 Sincerely your friends at MC Ranch Overland 🥂
Beautiful shots, the camera quality and the cinematography is at the top level, wonderful job from the team. I cannot wait for episode 3 of you enjoying the Khwai, what a wonderful place.
This is an epic trip for your family and friends! What a great way to spend quality time with your boys.
Sometimes I forget how grateful i am to be able to see all these animals every week. Watching this video made me even more grateful for what I have. It is difficult to describe how it feels to sleep in a tent while lions and elephants are close by. It is something everyone needs to experience at least once in their lives.
Great Production! I lived in Botswana for almost a year as a reporter. I think about Botswana every day more than any other country I have ever visited. Those sunsets and people are some of the best in the world. I would absolutely love to go back. Please let me know if you are hiring as I am looking to return to places like that! Thank you.
Be still my heart❤❤❤❤thank you for sharing. Seeing that Leopard living naturally made my heart explode
Excellent story telling & photography. Great you have your sons and Daniel with you to share the adventure.
Absolutely amazing for y’all to experience this, and let us get a tiny taste through the lens. Beautiful cinematography!
A few simple suggestions, custom fabricated equipment will be far more durable, less bolts more welds, sounds like some loctite needs to be added to the tool box. Best of luck and thanks for the amazing content.
I am born in South Africa and live in New Zealand nowadays this brings back the beauty of Africa it is absolutely fantastic. Hope the South Africans were very helpful to your family and friends I enjoy your program so much.
I am so excited to see you guys exploring my back yard. Please keep on giving us those Stella videos. Much love and cool runnings.
im so pumped for this series. Absolutely beautiful production!
With those corrugations - they are killer. I’ve seen them disintegrate shock absorbers
Another fantastic episode. I can't wait for the rest of the season!
Stunning. Please enjoy every second. Thanks again
Well done rolling with the changes. Can't wait to see more. If you do a second series and head up to Zambia be sure to let me know. Would love to meet up and help any way possible.
Thank you for the spectacular footage!!!
Ok clay...this is the best he said....guys around the fire with drinks while women are cooking...what happened to women's day???? All the best incredible video.
LOL - Wouldn't be here without them! This is Shelly's 'happy place' while on the road and we all do switch off. Just not always seen on camera ;)
Absolutely incredible videos. Thanks for sharing!
It just keeps on getting better! Big thank you for sharing this awesome trip with everyone👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Watching the X Overland family enjoying Botswana is such a pleasure. The Chobe River and surrounds are a firm favorite for me. So far, this series is my favorite of all the previous travels that you have documented
Grew up with this being our normal in South Africa as a young man. Now living in Australia, I miss the “smell” of the African bush. It is unique and impossible to describe. Watched this with tears in my eyes. Through your cinematography, I was transported back there for a brief moment in time. Thank you.
Wow, just absolutely amazing!!
Absolutely Amazing! Thank you for sharing these videos.
Love this series. Such an epic trip!
Amazing. Nice work you guys! Very inspiring
Stunning on every level! Can’t wait to see your next episode!!! 🤩🙏🏽🤩

You guys are going above and beyond on your journey to Africa. Thank you all so much for such captivating footage and for being so open and honest with all that you experienced there. What a great job, what a wonderful crew you had with you on this trip. It was so cool to hear the story of how the doctor explained the Golden Ball of Clay to your son as you were all relaxing for the evening. Making powerful and lasting memories for a lifetime, thx again for taking us all with you on your journey ❤️ 😊

Seeing Peter's reaction and the look on everyone's eyes made me realize how blessed we are to have these close to what we call home.I have always been following the channel EFRT with Peter and i have clearly seen the difference and how each is unique.Epic show .loved the fact everyone had awesome moments with unexpected turn of events.
Amazing episode! 🔥🔥
Just better and better.
I couldn't be more jealous. ugh. awesome work guys.
This is such a nice epic experience for all of the family to share. You guys have always ventured into greatness.
