  • [KiniNews] Former law minister Zaid Ibrahim has called on ministers in the federal government to address the matter of ex-premier Najib Abdul Razak’s house arrest bid, citing the need for transparency and adherence to constitutional principles.
Zaid drew attention to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s recent remarks in Doha in which he suggested that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong only consider Najib’s house arrest bid after the conclusion of the latter’s ongoing 1MDB trial.
Zaid warned against covert manoeuvres, stressing the importance of honesty and adherence to constitutional provisions.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, police are investigating a controversial message mocking Islam which appeared on the receipt of a popular pizza chain in Penang.
According to Barat Daya district police chief Kamarul Rizal Jenal, the case has been classified under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act.

It's in the court already...why should this addendum be politicised further. PMX was just expressing his views if he was asked by YDPA regarding the matter prior to YDPA'S decision. PMX was not disputing YDPA'S decision if indeed there was really an addendum. Let the court determine the authenticity of the so-called addendum if it really exists and a decision there after.

The fella already stole billions from us and yet the government is considering to transfer the hp convict under house arrest (despite after giving discount 50 percent for fine and jail term)
Now malaysian law can be compromised easily so long as you have status and big money.

What's the sympathy for this infamous thief, who by his evil thievery, Malaysia is impoverished. He had the guts to steal, it is fair he be punished. Why treat this infamous thief differently from other criminals? A woman desperate to get food for her children was jailed, whereas Najib's crimes were multibillion times more than the desperate poor woman. What's LAW, huh????
