Usually, the grand finales in Navy Pier fireworks shows would feature the big slow-burning weeping willow shells but they did not do it this time. But it was still a very loud grand finale here. Enough said.
@@SAELEETRAVELS In 2009, I can remember when big July 3rd fireworks exploded over Monroe Harbor when I watched it from the Congress Hotel. So I am thinking you are about 1/2 east of Monroe Harbor, and your back is facing south on your back on Lake Michigan and you are facing north towards the Near North Side and the skyline all around Navy Pier. The fireworks were fired on 3 barges about 1/4 mile south of the actual pier, so you were at a safe distance from those shells--about a little over a mile away.
I always love the navy pier the best place to have fireworks 💥
Happy we were there to witness the fireworks it's so much better to see it on the boat as well

who will air this online tonite for those of us cant be there or see from where we live? plus I don't have a tv ty
They canceled the fireworks for the 4th but they think it's a good idea to have it on other days if this month. God Bless America

Just finished watching a vid of japanese fireworks in Niggata. This is very underwhelming.
Well of course I believe Japan has better fireworks lol
