  • In preparation for this Sunday's BTS stream, I'm checking out Epilogue: Young Forever. here's the information from THE DREAM TEAM.
    Epilogue: Young Forever: MV is part of the BU In this song, BTS are telling us about their fears and their desperation to be young forever and not lose the recognition they have been working so long and hard to get. Only when they are together, can they comfort each other. They know all the fame and attention they are getting won’t last forever and seem to be bracing themselves for a fall they are waiting to happen. But they want to keep moving forward, because they still have dreams and hopes, even if there will be no one someday, they want to raise their voices and keep running.

    The thing I find cool about the maze is how they may be able to see each other but each person is stuck in the own part of the maze, fighting their own battles. You can see your friends (or be with them) and still not entirely know what they are going through. Moreover, you may be able to see the exit or where you want to go but you still don’t know how to get there. It can be seen as an interesting metaphor for life.

    The Korean written on the TV screens is the same as the lyric spoken at that point: dream, hope, forward, forward.
    The part with the gang vocals is especially moving when they perform it live and the audience is singing along. Jimin once said that he watched a recording of their live performance to comfort himself when he was down, and it reminded him of why he does all the work that he does.

    Something interesting to consider about this video is the labyrinth...the symbolic meaning of a labyrinth represents a journey or path to our own center an back again out into the world. It can also just be defined as "a meandering path...with a single path leading to a center." So even the fact that they each are wondering alone in this labyrinth but find their way out together is significant.

    This comment isn't exactly about this video but a previous reaction that I watched but the lyrics reminded me of it and I wanted to say this... You commented about a line Suga said in a previous reaction for Nevermind where he says " If you think you're gonna crash, accelerate even harder, you idiot". When I heard this I immediately thought about how when you are running (or walking for that matter) and you stumble, trip, and are about to fall and you slow down or stop you are certainly going to fall. BUT...if you pick up speed you can usually run through it and keep from falling. So I took it to mean when things are not going well is not the time to slow down or stop or you will certainly fail...it the time to push harder to get though the hard time and succeed.

    This was part of there Youth theology. And this song is the epilogue for the album so that's why is so short. Glade you checked it out.

      This wasn't on the Japanese album, this is a Korean song. There may have been a Japanese version of the song on the Youth album, but originally it is on the Korean album Epilogue: Young Forever, which was the final of the HYYH Trilogy.

  • @gloss39
    @gloss39 Před 2 lety

    This line from the song just proves that their desire to stay young forever was driven by their passion in making music and not simply holding on to fame and glory.
    "I comfort myself now. I tell myself that a perfect world doesn’t exist. Gradually, I empty myself. The huge applause can’t be mine forever ... Even if there is no everlasting audience, I will sing. I wish to remain forever as today’s myself"
    I love the fact that at this early point in their career, they were already aware that they can't have all these things forever and braced themselves early on for the inevitable end. In fact, they've been talking about it since 2018 and still have their feet firmly on the ground accepting the fact that they'll eventually have to disband one day.

    The feathers might be from the pillow fight that they had in…I don’t remember which video. Run? I need you? Remember how they viciously beat each other with pillows and then laid down in the feathers? It could represent remembering the carefree times of youth. I really don't understand why these so called White people hate BTS or Asians this is just beyond our tolerance I have discovered BTS recently and I am learning a lot about them I am really sad to discover them so late but happy that I have discovered them I love their deep lyrics how can someone hate them it's beyond my understanding

    • @bonjoon
      @bonjoon Před 2 lety +3

      @@hudaiqarazzaq4778 Exactly, it's impossible to understand actually, there are way too many layers to uncover
      - kpop stans hate bts because they are bitter over their success, they try to say bts didn't pave the way to other kpop artists on the west, they try to say they don't deserve all they have
      - korean media hates them because it wasn't the one to make them go to the top, which means it has no control over bts' fall. if you've been diving over kpop, you might know a bit about how this industry works: there are 3 big companies who pay the media to make articles about their artists and divulge them as hard as possible, if it's a group, for exemple, and a member leaves, the company + the media will make SURE this, now solo, artist will never be famous, won't let him have any tv screen time and make him not be invited to join other companies. this is their power, it's in their hands because the raised this idol's popularity, so they can obviously take him down, media has way too much power. bts, though, grew outside this system, from a little company, they grew with the help of armys, korean media can't even touch them, that's why they are so bitter and, as some analyzers have noticed, make less articles about bts or tend to be more negative towards them (when grammy indicated them to an award, instead of articles congratulating them for it, there were more saying things like "but it isn't a big category, right?" and when they unfortunately lost it, articles like "bts FAILED to get the grammy award" were trending on naver)
      - about western ppl... what can i explain that doesn't fall into xenophobia? it all revolves around that. they always want to keep poc outside their charts, it isn't interesting for a music industry full of white folks to have poc at the top, at the beginning, they wanted to see bts as a sensation and treated them just like "a new psy, a wave that would end soon enough", but this "wave" has been there since 2016/17, so now they are trying to push the "who's the next bts?" to take the biggest fighters for representation out. this can be seen clearly by a lot of billboard's articles but recently they invented a new chart: hot trending songs on twitter. its stupid, completely, there are no awards for it so far and it needs a daily effort from the fandom, which will make us tired eventually. we werent putting much effort on it (since it really seemed to not matter, all you have to do is tag the song #BTS_BUTTER, #BTS @BTS_twt on your tweets tho), so another group took the lead (not throwing hate towards them, its not their fault), what do you think happened? a bunch of articles claiming they came to substitute bts and all that type of shit, bc "they charted for 6 weeks just like bts, one more and they will be bigger than bts" (even though this other group hasn't appeared on ANY other billboard chart and its recent MV from 2 months ago has about 4/5M views). So you can see Billboard's pettiness and efforts to put our boys down.
      Honestly, it's so tiring to deal with all of this and to know we can't do much to help bts hurts a lot, but we will always try our best to keep our boys at the top and keep a positive image to give those white dudes nothing to talk about!
      btw i'm not a native speaker, so sorry for any mistakes 😭💜

    For my opinion I think the whole story in RUN is the results of I Need U as you can see I need U is a story of youth. They explores the dichotomy of angst and optimism, love and hate, and anxiety and fearlessness that defines the teenage experience.
    7 storylines for 7 members with 7 conflicts are the causes of their bad behavior. You can see that they're really like trouble maker and They did mess around. It's because they are all influenced by family, society, poverty, etc.
    Young forever is the summary of HYYH, is the thing that they want to be but in reality they can't be young forever. You can see that they lost in the maze before they find the exit. Just like a youth who lost and try to find their way to grow up. And the last they all go out of the maze. They are on the departure to grow up to next level, to be adult. Check Save Me webtoons for sure.
    I love how their content always reflects and interpolates about their society or culture. I just felt it was tangible, feel like these songs alive. These songs hide their real life stories, theories, storylines behind. At the same time the lyrics are beautiful. The instrument was great. There are many people who started learn Korean or made music because of them. There are many artists that can make good music but there are few artists that can put many details and make heart flutter when we deep into the music.
    They filled the time that my youth that was missing. Because I have to focus only on studying and within the framework of my parents. I really felt the growth by their music. The power of music is great. I just hope the music industry won't cruel with them. I wanna listen their music for the rest of my life. Oh my opinion is way too long now sorry ㅜㅜ

    Ooooh, the H, I haven't noticed before. The name of the album in korean is Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa (signed with chinese character, the first hwa meaning flower, the second bloom) - RM mentioned in one of his speeches that there is nice symbolism in the fact that the name is circular, or that it starts and ends on the same note. Circle H/circular name maybe indicating forever.
    Personally, it also looks like a helicopter pad - this in connection with the plane (and maybe the birds), could have been an indication of the Wings album coming after. After getting over the joyful and painful time of youth, we are ready to fly. Good job on thinking of the QR code hahaha, but yeah, it looks to me too low quality for that.

    BTS make BU in 2015 : other big label use it & claim that "universe things" is their original idea, to promote their new group (debuted in 2020).
    BTS make their own variety show : another big label copy to exact games concept etc to promote their group. One of the member even declared, "Yes, we paved the way (Kpop to global market)."
    BTS make rap song with traditional touch : other rappers, the BTS antis, copy the melody & claiming as its their idea.
    Meanwhile BTS in their throne, still humble to say, "We are small boy band, from Korea ..." --- I never stand a Kpop group, but this one ... Big respect!

    I wonder if that last part, with the "choir" type of singing, was added intentionally so the fans can sing it at their concerts at the end of the song

    You mention some of the vintage style adds to the filming and audio which makes me think I have yet to hear anyone talk about what the use of a Polaroid camera means. BTS members grew up in the 2010's in an age of digital cameras yet Polaroid photography recurs throughout early BU music videos. My conjectures might get ahead of where you are in the BU so I will simply leave it as a thought.
    Also Forever appears in the sky, on the runway, and then we see a plane ascending not from the runway but way over the members. I won't state my thoughts outrightly but I will mention musician Jimmy Bolin committed suicide at age 30 so he could have a beautiful corpse. What freezes time forever? Yes photos, but I think we must consider the plane ascending to ...... with the members together, including V coming from the rear (think Prologue), going down the forever runway. The members are no longer on the runway in the last shot. Togetherness at least during HYYH is when things seem ideal. For all the warts of the journey, the ideal memory is what people wish to preserve when journey actually is being preserved. Staying young forever is impossible unless..........

    This song means a lot to the guys, which means a lot to ARMY as well. The members often tell ARMY that they want to stay together along with ARMY forever. They always say "let's stay young forever ARMY". ARMY surprised BTS in their Wimbledon concert after the member's speech by singing this song to BTS without the members knowing that it was planned by ARMY. It was a beautiful event and sight to see. The members were so touched that some of them started crying. Here's the link: czcams.com/video/mmKW8mnsB-4/video.html

    The explanation video everybody is taking about isn’t an explanation video but a theory video. Please keep that in mind. It’s better to come up with your own theories than have someone tell you what their theory is and you thinking that’s fact. It’s not. It’s just a theory.

The next move most likely is for it to be shown in other countries and soon after that it will have a worldwide release via movie streaming platforms ❤️😃
