I might be thinking about this too much, but I think the reason Bilmuri resonates so much is that Bilmuri and by extension Johnny himself are like... the ideal example of modern masculinity. There's NASCAR references, he's running around with his dad bod out, mowing lawns, loads of guys being dudes stuff in the videos, but the whole time he's pouring his heart out in the music, he's talking, he's communicating, he's being honest. It's masculine without being macho, it feels really fresh in a scene that's usually either dead serious (Sleep Token), camp as hell (Electric Callboy) or super macho tough guy shit. I hope that makes some kind of sense at all.

hes also just playing what he likes and his videos are where hes from. midwest dude that enjoys country and metal l. i think hes the perfect mix of the two. im excited to see what the next blend of genres he has for us
Spinnin' You Around and 2016 Cavs absolutely slap, I cannot believe how good this all is. It's so genuinely heartfelt, absurd, and a stellar blending of genres. I'm shocked by how much I enjoyed the album.
Man ive seen them probably 7-8 times live and this summer im seeing them twice, and in the winter im seeing them in Prague with sleep token. They put on the best shows I’ve ever been to. Easily.
The best part about Drunk Enough is that it was a collab with Sky Acord and Josh Manuel from Issues. The Sleep Token vibes come from everybody ripping off our Lord and Savior Issues lol.
As someone from the Midwest, specifically Indiana, there is no more important and daunting task, than mowing the lawn. We spend a lot of time obsessing over the lawn, talking about mowing the lawn, etc.
I respect the creativity and the comedic aspect of this but I'm still not able to enjoy country vocals. Even ironically and if it is mixed with metal. The saxophone parts were pretty sick though and I can see why people do like Bilmuri, just not for me.
Yeah. It's funny and I respect it, but it's mostly country. It's not even like Electric Callboy's Hurrikan which is a 2 minute song. 1 minute Schlager and 1 minute of filthy breakdown.
personally im over the sax solos... theyre all basically the same in every song. i know its diff notes but the feel is the same... big long note to start then just vocal melody
