@@gatsmen2200 In a Hat in Time, Vanessa locked Snatcher (or Prince Subcon) in her basement after catching him being friendly to another girl, and instwad of confronting him, jumped to the conclusion that he was cheating. Prince Subcon died here and turned into the Snatcher, leading to him believing these things
@@toastydevil don't forget the emotional abuse, gaslighting, and isolation she put him through. Remember when she banned bacon from the castle cause she heard the prince liked it? And when she made him style his hair like hers? And probably a whole bunch of other things that were never pointed out in the game

You can learn about bacon and hair stuff in Vanessa's mansion. There's bunch of letters where she saying things like "I'm jealous of that darn bacon" and "I'm sorry about your hair, my prince, I just wanted us to match". Yeah.
