- The only way to be able to pray in all seasons is to pray in all seasons.
Growing through the motions involves commitment, consistency, and companions. It means being willing to go through the motions no matter the season and no matter the circumstances. It is only by doing this that we can have full range of motion in our relationship with the Lord.

Gloria a Ti, Felice Verdad!
Thank you Father Mike. I made notes to make sure that I will follow through ❤
All young people should hear this message. So wonderfully put. Thank you
I was traveling and in a terrible car wreck on Friday. The rental was totalled, and the fractures in my arm look like they belong in a medical textbook. I spent some time at the ER thinking why me, but I eventually realized how lucky we were to walk out of the emergency department that night. We waited outside the hospital for the Uber, and across the parking lot was a church. When we drove out we saw a beautiful illuminated stained glass of Jesus with his arms out. It brought me such peace and reassurance that I will be ok.
Going to mass for the first time in years
When my grandpa was in hospice, my grandpa was also not responsive but when the priest came for his sacrament, my grandpa started praying with the priest!!! It was amazing
I just had surgery this past monday to take out a tumor from my abdomen, Praise God it was benign. But going thru recovery and mobility restrictions for the next few weeks and this could not have spoken to me more. Thank you, Father Mike.
I hope for a fast recovery for you! Stay strong 😊

Such a great inspiration as always. Thank you for your explanation of the word this week.
Being 65+ so true, if you don't work on it, you become stiffer and less balanced and flexible. Like the analogy with staying in spiritual shape.
Amen 🙏
Wow!!! BAM!!!!
Right on time!!!
Consistent with Range of Motion is faithfulness…which leads to spiritual growth
❤
Mother in law knew Rosary even when didn’t know husband or daughter. Go thru the motions.
This is officially one of my favourite homilies of Father Mike. The stories are always entertaining, and interesting, and I can always reflect on them. This homily in particular hits the right spot. I've been struggling with prayer and hearing the daily podcast of Bible in a Year and just not making time to be with the Lord and sometimes when I do pray, it's just going through the motions. I know I have to persevere and continue praying and spending time with the Lord in and out of the season. This is the encouragement and push, in a way, that I need. Thank you, Father! ❤️
May God also bless us always! Keep safe guys! 🥰❤️
Our son just had his 39 surgery/procedure last Monday. He will be in wheelchair again for six weeks. He is such an inspiration to all of us with his strength. Only 20 years/ special needs and a joy!
Fr. Schmitz we have just come from Holy Mass and Fr. Gabriel was very engaging he made reference to do many verses of the Bible. He told us about God's promise to never abandon us but all God asks is that we call on Him and trust Him like Moses and Joshua did and God delivered He is faithful and He delivers. Amen
It is very true that we will forget to do these simple movements, such as, bending down, getting up from the chair, squatting on the floor, walking on tip toes, doing sit ups, lifting ourselves up from the floor, singing, dancing, reading out loud, etc... because we tend to be sedentary as we age, then our bodies become very rigid and stiff. We need to condition all muscles for stamina, stretching them to be flexible, such as, rotating the hip and knee clockwise and counter clockwise while standing at 45 degree angle just to get them to work properly, singing to condition the vocal cords, dancing to have youthful movements, etc.... It will take lots of efforts, but it will be a lot more fun to be strong and flexible as we age The same goes for praying and talking to God each day because it takes time to build a relationship with God, and God does reciprocate and He talks to us via many media. God is funny at times. Isn't that fascinating?
This was a great one- My 45 minutes with God is when I’m doing my meditation 🧘♀️ and yoga . My God loves RoM. Amen
Wow! I already love Ben Patrick and his work and his attitude. It was so beautiful how you transformed his physical work to our spiritual work. You've given me a powerful jump off conversation to have with my avid workout family! Thank you! Prayer answered!
7:50 “I want to be able to pray...in every circumstance...be that person who belongs to the Lord in every season”😥
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Mt. 11: 28)
Intercession, thanksgiving, and repentance: Please, thank you, and I'm sorry
AMEN 🙏🏾🕊️
@@Johnny_8118 Thank you, friend
ok thank you, I even listened to the end :) I exercise surja namaskar for my joints (without mantras of course) and I hope this will help me to stay mobile :D. St. Don Bosco talked about rosary and adoration and I think this is a good basis.
Will you do somethig for me, Fr Schmitz? I need a place. Take care.
A spiritual teacher once told me that if you have very low opinions about exercise, you avoid it, you think its stupid, you think its a waste of time but you do it correctly every day no matter you feelings about it you will see results. The same is with prayer, if you think its stupid but you do it respectfully every day there will be changes in your life and spirit. Even if you are an ashiest and you pray you will be overcome with spirit. (Also, you have to ask God to come in or He will not. If He is unwelcome He will not breach your free will)
Lol the shoe comment made me laugh. Being heavily pregnant is the same. My husband has to start trying my shoes by the last month because I can’t even find my feet, and even if I tried, I’d probably pass out.

I don't know why they'd build a new Newman Center when half the people are broke in Amherst.
I know this sermon is really not about exercises but if you want to have relatively back pain free you have to do back exercises when you are young in preparation to old age. The spine is as strong as a noodle and if you do not have muscle supporting it you will ache all the time because you are depending on a noodle to keep you up. You need to depend on muscle around the noodle otherwise you will have pain and injury. ALSO vitamin D and Calcium is really important. If you fall and you are old you will bounce if you have good bones. If you have weak bones you are going to break them, no bounce. Drink your Milk!
Some one asked Bishop Sheen how his prayers were always answered. Miracles passed thru him frequently. He attributed it too daily ADORATION.
You're 47, not 48.
I'm 45 til Oct then I'll be 47. This is because I lost an entire year the year before thinking and telling ppl I was 46, not 45, smh.
So, I have cause and reason to reclaim this year. You, however, are just trying to skip ahead all willy-nilly like no one is gonna say something...
Welp, count your loco-motion halted.
Why are you speaking this limitation over the people?
