Arko Mukhaerjee's Rooftop Live in collaboration with Casey Driessen's Otherlands Project presents a live jam session on two folk songs, one a Bangla folk classic, Rongila and the other an American bluegrass standard called My Little Girl in Tennessee. In this jam, Casey and Arko are accompanied on cajon by Kolkata based drummer Sounak Roy, a superb experimental modern percussionist.
This jam pays tribute to old-time American country and bluegrass music and the diverse folk music from Undivided Bengal. In a modern spontaneous blend, this recording takes a magical leap from the Foggy Mountain Boys to the world of Sachin Dev Burman and Jasimuddin in a completely free and impromptu way.

"I am forever indebted to the creations of Late Sachin Dev Burman and the writings of the Master poet Late Jasimuddin from Bangladesh, whose works inspired me as a human being, a composer and a travelling artist. However I am no where near such sheer genius. Through this, I thank him and my parents for introducing me to his music as a child." - Arko
