it’s super awesome to see you doing better friend & I can’t lie, I relate to a lot of the stuff you talked about, maybe not in the same way you experienced it but definitely resonate with some of it. you are strong & I think you can do a lot of good in the world even just by sharing this story. It takes a lotttt to be fully honest & open about the difficult & faulty parts of ourselves. Keep on trucking on this long strange trip ✌️🌀

Thank you for sharing your story Holden. You are right in that you are not alone! Sharing your story helps other people know they are not alone. In fact, mental illness runs in our family. Sending much love to you!

Voices can lead to suicide or murder. Just don't take it seriously. It's like a psychological role-playing game. Don't take on the role of an easily controlled zombie. Tell yourself-I will never kill myself or anyone else, under any circumstances. Feelings are the wind. The wind will pass, and there is no wind. The wind can be very strong, the main thing is that it does not blow off your roof. You know, your thoughts and feelings can deceive you. You must not trust those thoughts and feelings that you perceive as hallucinations. But you can trust your normal feelings and thoughts. And your task is to learn to distinguish one from the other.
Feelings and thoughts often carry a strong energy. This is manifested in the fact that any thought, any feeling, at least slightly, but deprives a person of a state of inner comfort. It is very important to understand this, and to be able to see these internal tensions and remove them by meditation.

Try the meditation technique. It can really help.
You close your eyes so that nothing distracts and try not just to relax, but to track all the tensions in the body that deprive you of a comfortable state, special attention to the muscles of the face and head. And then, without paying attention to these tensions, you must try to achieve a comfortable state. At the same time, you can reach a comfortable state on sufficiently strong muscle tensions. People often do not notice this strong muscle tension and unconsciously maintain it. This tension can be so strong that your efforts will not be enough to remove it. But efforts should be directed not at supporting tensions, but at removing them.
Such tension can be anywhere in the body, but you can only remove it more or less effectively at the level of the face and head.
To do this, you only need to focus on the state of internal comfort.
At the same time, if you notice that internal tensions seem to draw attention to yourself, try to first focus your attention on this particular place, and then, as it were, get out of this concentration of attention. This can be called the technique of scattered attention. You concentrate on the place where there is tension, but you need to get out from under that tension.
Then something like this can happen - you focused your attention on a certain place, you were able to relax your muscles, but the tension changed its configuration, went to another place. You track it again and remove it again and again it goes to another place. So you can meditate as much as you want. If it turns out, then there is a certain buzz in it. It is better of course at night, but you can at any time. On the bus, in the subway, at least for a minute to close your eyes and instantly switch off.
Only technique - with depression, do not focus on the emotional color of the feeling, but only on its strength. Well, that is, the reason for depression can be anything and feelings, respectively, can be different. But feelings should be ignored as if they do not exist.
You're a strong man. But your strength must be that you must control your feelings. People shouldn't be afraid of you.
