emma cox Japan actually isn't that big on stuff like this. Like, yes, the anime and manga industry is very large and popular, but everyday people do not dress up in costumes and run around trying to stand out. My Japanese friend has told me that Japan is actually a very conformist society, and people like the guy in the video are pretty much like bronies in America (not very well-liked).
Like yeah, there ARE still people who dress up in cosplay, loli wear, etc., but it's a still a pretty small percentage and isn't considered the "norm" like Lilith Seiyu implied by saying "You see that everyday in japanese streets."
***** I live there. I was obviously being sarcastic and thought there was no need to bother answering the guy. It's just, you know. Stereotypes. You don't see that "everyday" but you can't be surprised if you take the subway, with it being full of people cosplaying or if you just walk out to buy something and see someone dressed up like a lolita. I'm like this, and to some extend, I won't say it's everywhere but it still is fairly common. I guess it just depends on where you go.

Kinda feel like I was just rickrolled .... the next generation.
Some of you might not pick up on this, but this song is pretty straight up goth rock. The vocals have that dreary vibrato one would expect, and he's even wearing black nail polish. Even the instrumentals remind me of something from eighties goth.
