Wonderful reaction, TSR! I was first introduced to Jacob Banks by Pandora some years ago and I was immediately enthralled. "Chainsmoking" is the first song I heard of his, which he's said in interviews is about his mother & the immense sacrifices she's made for the family. As a couple others have written, he's from Nigeria, and moved with his fam from there as a young teen to the U.K. He's soft spoken in interviews, which makes his singing even more emotionally powerful and a purveyor of pathos, IMHO. Please react to his songs: "Mercy", from the Colors Session; "Unholy War", "Chainsmoking", "Unknown To You", and "My Love Ain't Enough". You WILL LOVE THEM.
You have to check out JP Cooper, a fellow brit who is stunning with such a unique voice as well. I recommend In the Silence, or Closer, or Mercy(cover), or X factor(cover), or September song if you must. This man is so talented please check him out.
