No joke, since I discovered this kind of sound and these long mixes a month ago it's been required background for all of my college work and my grades have improved massively. How's that for an endorsement?

There's a lot of synthwave artists I love, but Lost Years really seems to have the most authentic 80's vibe.
None of this stuff really ever sounds like the 80s, it sounds like what people see the 80s as sounding like. If you wanna hear what the 80s sounded like listen to the music of that Crystal Light Aerobics Championship.
Lost Years is one of those synthwave artists I tend to forget about, but they're one of the best.
For me one of the best mixes. No annoying songs. A consistent style. No 250BPM songs, just great.

i started a synthwave track the other day. didnt realise there is a whole genre of this stuff. wow this is inspiring. i was just trying to redo 80s sounding music. i grew up in the 80s :D

It won't be long before I'm 50 years old, so I feel qualified in saying that I've listened to A LOT of music in my lifetime, and there has GOT to be a strong correlation between this type of music and disciplines like computer programmer and artist (polymath here, so I do both disciplines!). I mean, if music is music, then is why is it so easy [ should I say EASIER? ] to solve that problem or figure out that passage while at the same time listening to this?
