Here in 2024 still learning from your video my man. I had my 2018 fz07 as my first bike and now after maintaining it stock for 6 years, I’ve been saving enough to start looking at parts!

Well done Tinman. That was a great, well put together tutorial. I'm impressed. I look forward to finding out how it works in the dark, brightness, beam spread etc. Some say you get the brightness but the LEDs often don't work properly with the reflectors.
When it stops raining I will try and get out at night and go through it best I can 👍
When you say reflectors do you mean street signs and cats eyes

TinMan I meant the reflectors in the headlight itself. I have read that the position of the filament in the bulb is critical for the silver reflector in the headlamp to focus the beam correctly. In some led bulbs the leds can be badly positioned so that you don't get the correct beam pattern.

Hell of a job that i was going to say im sure dont have to remove it. But if you have fat hands like me need as much room as possible !!! Good tutorial for those who may not know will save then i few quid.

Yeah you can do it without removing the unit but it's not hard to remove it and it also helped with the replacement side of the vid 👍

The spread of light was much better and I found it much better than the stock bulb
🤔 I should really put LED bulbs in my new bike 😊
There are pictures of the new headlight design for the 2018 mt07 which has four led bulbs in it.
There has been a pic of a four headlight bulb set up floating around for the MT07 since last year I'm not sure 🤔 if they are going ahead with that look but it would be great to see a revised light setup on the bike 👍

The bulb has to be fairly small for clearance but this looks like it will do it

That looks like a good option (good compromise). I thought the ones without a built in fan would be a better quality/technology. Will do a bit of more reading.
I've found this one from SeaLight... Downside is - more expensive and comes from the US.

The ones you found look very similar to the one I used
These are more expensive though as it’s a pair of bulbs
The kit I had was for 1 bulb so it was slightly cheaper
I think the ones without a fan would be better suited to motorcycles as the back of the bulb is waterproof and exposed 👍

I have since changed the bike so might do them on the new one 😊
I wish at least one of those LED headlight videos showed the shape of the light pattern compared to original, and if there is cut-off line (aka if it's legal to use that LED).

I find the spread isn’t any bigger but due to it being an intense white light it looks more as for the legality of it well I’ve never been pulled over using it 👍
There sure are a lot of junk LED lights out there .. I like the fact the wiring comes out the side on yours.. E-Bay is a Cluster mess.. I was very concerned about clearance from the back of the bulb to the steering head.. I can just get my finger between the plug on the Halen light and the steering head..
My 2016 FZ-07 has amber turn signal lenses and a clear parking light . Looks like in Europe the require a clear lense with a yellow bulb for the front turn signals .. for 2018 they don't have the FZ-07 anymore now they call it the MT-07
I didn’t actually check the gap 😂 but it wasn’t rubbing or anything otherwise I would have noticed
Yeah I think Yamaha went with MT for the brand as a whole

@@TinManvlogger MT meets European rules and Regulations has anti lock brakes.. I just got my LED lights .. Lightning Dark Nucleus C2 was $57.00 I thought I was purchasing 1 but there are two in the box .. they have a fan in them and you can clock how you mount them
Also got XK-Glow Fan Less for off road and dirt ect will try and install them tomorrow ..

Nice tutorial bud, is it a lot brighter in the dark compared to the halogen? Better visibility.
I've been trying to get out at night so I could do a night ride comparison but the weather has been poop 💩 and been working lates if I had left it any longer it may have been another week before I could do the vid
But yeah I'm hoping it's brighter as the stock bulb is pants 👍

I've found that led headlamps aren't that effective such as halogen ones... Literally you can see that even the standard headlight that comes with the bike, has less luminissence but more full and broad beam.
