I will never understand people being afraid to look through people's stuff in this game. Not only is is an interactive fiction/adventure game, you can rewind anything you want to undo. All this game really has to offer, for the most part, is characters and dialogue. If you don't interact with everything, you're cutting out up to half the game. I guess if you're the kind to skip side-quests, etc. in favour of the main plot then it makes sense, and it's easier to edit if you don't explore everything, but I just couldn't see myself enjoying a game that way.
I totally understand where you're coming from! Playing and recording vs. just playing to play is a very different experience. If I was playing to play, I'd definitely take my time and look everywhere :)
