A drill bit would work great I assume , however you look like the type of man who can appreciate the older craft ways ,, all by hand , blood swet and tears .. cheers to you , I have recently started doing Somalia’s projects , haven’t posted any vids yet but more will be reviled, thanks again
Around 8 hours? You just made me feel better about myself. The first one I did recently took me about 6. And came out ALMOST as good as yours. If I could figure out how to do so I'd put a picture of mine up for you. To be honest mine doesn't have a stem, just the flower. Thank you for all your videos, their great and very helpful.
+John Thornhill I'm glad my ironwork could encourage you God bless have a great day!
Man I myself am a fan of awesome whirly gigs and doodads.

Thank you 😊
Awesome video! Definitely going to have to post one of my own after seeing this
Glad you enjoyed the video and it was helpful God bless you and have a great day!
Hello Roy, have you tried to stack all the pieces on top of each other after you mark the largest one and just transfer the lines to each of the smaller circles? Does that make sense?
roy i had a thought when you were working the petals 4 inches multiply by 3 then divide by 5 you end up with 2.4 inches which you can use to scribe your lines and how thick is your copper your using
+grayem pepper the thickness of copper I am using is 1/16 inch I'm not sure what that works out to gauge but I think it's 12 gauge. Your math seems like it would be a useful tool with larger work for sure thank you for sharing. God bless you this weekend
How did you texture the rose ? And could you texture the rose the same way if it was steel?
well dude you should have been a teacher ,because your video is really informative , not just entertainment thanks
+Gregory B thank you I guess I should have been a teacher :-) thank you for taking the time to watch God bless.
Do you think this would work with brass sheet metal? Copper is expensive.
yes it works with pretty much any thin sheet of material. Ive made one with them all.
👍
I just want to warn anyone not familiar with making these. If you use a drill instead of punch to make you center hole, make sure you lock the piece into place with a vise or something other then your hands. You will cut your damn fingers off or slice your hand up pretty bad once that drill breaks through to the other side. It will grab the metal and turn it into a very sharp saw blade and you wont be able to hold it tight enough to drill it safely. Trust me i learned the hard way. Not once but twice. Thought it just slipped the first time so i held it better and both times i damn near cut a finger off. lmao
