I had a cocker spaniel, she was the best, she was really smart, It was easy for me to train her. Whe she got older I only had to look at her and she knew exactely what I want her to do. When I cried she always was by my side and she looked at me like telling me everything was going to be ok. She was the best dog I could ask for and I hope I was the best human she could ask for. I miss her so much.

Me too, I had the most incredible chocolate cocker spaniel. She would do anything for a treat and was the most loyal dog I think I have ever met, super smart as well !

Same my cocker was only 2 months when she learned a system of alerting me when she wants to go outside by pawing on these beads near my door which made a sound. Got annoying when she would want to go out at 2 am but I still let her 😂
Amazing training!! I’ve had 3 cockers now...can’t imagine owning another breed. The most loving, intelligent, cutest, caring, cuddling, stress relieving, animals in the world.

Im a rottweiler man myself, but these dogs are just beautiful and super intelligent my mum had a springer spaniel once, spaniels are incredible dogs very active affectionate and always wanting to please their owner a truly loveable breed indeed!!!

I had a golden cocker spaniel named Herbie, he was put down a few days ago due to poor lungs 😔 , cocker spaniels are honestly so sweet and loyal, they would always be their for their owner, Herbie would follow my mum everywhere, and when she would be away he would sit out by the window and wait for her, after his passing I heard her cry like I never heard her cry, herbie was like the child she could never give birth to
She's such a disciplined girl! My cocker(biggie smalls) is 1 year old and he knows how to sit, shake, spin and lay down. He's not patient at all though lol. No way I'd be able to put a treat on the ground let alone three and have him wait for me to give me permission to eat them. He's very spoiled and demanding at times but I love him! Cockers are the best dogs, very smart but can be stubborn lol
They'll do anything for food, they can hear a fridge open at 100 yards, but if that nose is down, they hear nothing!

My cocker is a hyper mess that chews everything, runs from his leash, and thinks everything is a game! God I love him though, he keeps me laughing!
I had 2 cocker spaniel, both we got when i was 2 & 5 and the second one left a year ago. I miss them every week. Such a beautiful dog

I miss my cocker so much, kind of looked like yours except shorter and a bit chubbier. I adopted her from Bolivia which is in South America she was a street dog. She was the best most absolute sweetest soul i ever met! She passed away a couple weeks ago and i miss her so much! :( cockers are for sure one of the sweetest dogs ❤️

My collie (collies are meant to eb smart) lay on his back during his first ever sheepdog training and fell asleep. After multiple sessions became clear he was never going to be a sheepdog, far too lazy. Just sat at home and cuddled my mum instead. He'd do whatever she told him, but would never obey anyone else, and when we wasn't around he was a naughty boy. Eventually he just glued himself to my mum and she took him everywhere with her, (this was the 90s and you could do that). But yes, otherwise he was very lazy.

I’ve got a sprocker spaniel which is a mix of cocker and springer. His names Todd from fox and the hound 😂 He’s easy to train like cockers but he has trouble when he’s got extra energy left from our walks 😂❤️

Tricks came naturally for my english cocker. He looks exactly like yours! I love my cocker spaniel. We saved him from parvovirus when he was a pup and I'm sure he remembers his starving days bc he'll eat anything now aha

I got a cocker spaniel for my 12th birthday last year 7.11.2020 I got a puppy girl her name is Ryna and she is a black cocker. Now she is 5 months old but she is really really smart! When I am sad she always comes to me and starts kissing me! She is best thing in my life I don't know how will I live without her 😭❤️

I had one growing up. TOBY the smartest dog in the world, he would climb a chain link fence and jump almost 9 feet down, hed disappeared at night, but will always return to the house. Alpha dog, smart and elegant. We would say "toby busca" or "toby search" and hed go around the house and patrol, but sometimes hell find a possum or an iguana, and boy this dog had no fear, hed tear them tf up. Lived 15 and half years. Was older than me by few months, i just dont remember my childhood w.o. him not being there, toby was just always there. Miss you TOBY 🐶🐕
I think they are my favorite breed. She's a lovely dog and would warm anybody's heart. :)

Gorgeous dog..what i dont get is how you even begin to teach a dog to play dead (for example)...how do you even build up to getting them to go in that position haha!?
I search for ideas on youtube on how to teach her different tricks. To get her into a "play dead posisien" I use some food she likes (for exempel chicken or cheese), first to ger her in to a lay down and then i slowly take the candy over her shoulder and back so she have to lie on her side to get it. It is chaind of hard to explain, but if you whant I can make a video to show how I did it?

My cocker spaniel wouldn’t even drop a ball. But I was only young and didn’t know anything about training him. He was a great doggo and it’s very sad because I was in my yard and he just fell over and died in front of me. I miss him he was a funny doggo
I always find treat training causes the dogs to lick and search you for food. Good way to start but stop the treats as soon as possible. Love Cockers.Nice vid.

Thank you so much :D I can't give you a good answer to that because this is my first cocker spaniel, but Carmen was not pottytrained before she var 5 month old. I will recommend to giv your dog a treat when it goes potty outside (Something I start doing in the end, and she got much better after that), and when the puppy goes potty inside you just cleann up with some vinegar and water, don't get angry at your puppy.

Agreed. I have one of my own. From what I can tell, the breed love being outdoors, are very emotionally sensitive (so more likely to get stressed or more likely to get scared) and are pretty intelligent. I have a blue rowan and she's lovely. She was pretty easy to toilet train, but then we had a fully trained lab and she honestly just copied him for most things. Well, she even copied a few of his bad habits as well.

Music hides a very important part which is using the clicker and food, and I’m guessing eventually only clicker and then just commands?
I have a cocker spaniel he is a active cute friendly dog i love him to bits and he was quite easy to train so i recommend to anyone who is getting a new dog to get one.
