Regardless of her dunking ability (or lack thereof), this young sister is a very talented baller.
True man, true đ€Łđ€Ł
With Paige, I haven't had this much fun watching basketball in a long time. She does exactly what needs to be done on the court when it needs to be done. Maybe the best basketball IQ since Larry Bird - and she isn't even 20.
@@lakemichigan6598 I hear you. This young lady has more talents than a little bit.
@@FatherAndTeacherTV Isn't she fun to watch? I wish I'd had a tenth of her game when I was playing. She seems to do everything right.
And by next year, she'll be so good that no one will beat UCONN. No one.
@@lakemichigan6598 I can't even play, so I can only imagine. But from what I've seen Bueckers' abilities are through the roof, for sure.
She doesn't need to dunk. She can do pretty much everything else. Good for Steph to have invited her.
True that!
@Paige The Husky I think they should take WNBA and have them play top boys highschool teams like IMG academy and Oak HIll. It will be good for ratings. Haters will watch. WNBA fans will watch and it will be good for the sport of b-ball. Maybe WNBA wonât win but still good for cross intermingling of fans
@@uncleasian8697 they wonât win thatâs the sad truth those kids are future draft picks and D1 players they will get blown out itâll just prove what everyone knows the WNBA players get paid how they do for a reason

@@leonardomoore1868 The good stuff, that lets me see into the future. The only problem with PAIGE, is she doesn't take enough shots, she not selfish, her court vision superior then any UCONN player that has ever played the game. When her best friend joins her next year, UCONN should have at least 2 to 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS, before WNBA time.
@@leonardomoore1868 she already has the most points as a freshman and she still has March madness. Skies the limit for her.
I've been Uconn fan for 25 years and seen all of their great players and I can tell you that this young lady will be the best ever and she can dunk that ball
GiGi bryant would of been better đ
She's only 5'11" and she was almost touching the rim and may have actually had her fingers above the rim. That's a very, very good vertical for a female player ... around 30". And she is a great player too.
But, she actually grabbed the rim...
I was going to trashtalk but now that I know she is just 5'11" I wont. I'm 5'9 and when I try to dunk I do pretty much the same as her so even though she is 2" taller than me it's impressive

:43 her palm is at the rim, if she had one more inch...it wouldâve been in. For 5â11â, thatâs pretty damn impressive. If she gets stronger and stays injury free, she could be dunking in game like her team mate on Stanford.
Everybody Iâve ever known who dunked started out with a tennis ball, then a pop-a-shot ball, then a womenâs ball then finally a menâs ball. Then once the single handed dunk is achieved work on two handed dunking. I was 6â 4â and not particularly athletic but progressed to jamming with two hands on the breakâŠgreatest feeling in the world to snap that rim!
She got up there, but no dunk. She does everything else extremely well.
Technically, yes she dunked. But it wasnât a clean one.
@@onlyone23km nope. Dunking is defined by throwing the ball downwards. That ball was not going downwards.
@@rasmusbang6118 but it WAS going downwards in this video, though. Thatâs the thing!
@@onlyone23km 2nd guy is missing part of the definition of a dunk, you have to dunk it downward into the basket, not into the board
@@onlyone23km that certainly wasnât a dunk, you can clearly see the ball hitting the backboard before going in, a dunk is when you put the ball in the hoop yourself, she just kinda tapped the rim and did a layup
Man she will definitely be Goat status once she makes the league. When watching her play you see her moves are so pure and not forced. She a legit hooper.

I hate how people take out the fact that they don't enjoy women's basketball on the individuals. Like she would cream the best guy at the Y, And yet just because they don't like watching women's basketball people will slander girls who play. Not being as good as men who are naturally more athletic doesn't mean they should be slandered.
I'm not sure where this is coming from. While I agree it does happen, pretty much every comment I see here is positive about her and her skills.
I don't subscribe to her channel, but I watched quite a few of her games from high school on YT, and this girl can without a doubt play some ball. Nothing but props from me.
@@ronskayakingandfishing414 I know! I'm not talking abt this comment section, just the overall sentiment.
I love to watch all basketball. I am also a huge fan of Paige. There is no doubt in my mind she will be the best WNBA player in a few years. There is no need to compare her to men for any reason. She canât cream all men at the local Y and it makes no sense to make this claim. I hope she continues on her path to greatness.
@Kdot Have you seen the comment sections on posts on instagram about woman's basketball? It's toxic
That's why the NBA needs 12 foot rims time to see who the real freaks are
All Men and her! This prove she is the best in women's basketball!
there was way more than one or two girls in the crowd i saw like 4
The conversation was over a long time ago.
Cameron Brink was there.
If you stop it she does actually grab the rim with her fingers. She is only 5â11â but has high shoulders and long arms, so probably a standing reach around 7â7â, so she was jumping at least 30â here, and her max vertical is probably higher since she was trying to time this. Something like a max verticle of 34â-36â inches is as much as many nba players. Like if she was 6â8â with the same long build as an nba small forward or something, her standing reach would be almost 9â, which would put her max touch at about 11â4â, which is perfectly acceptble for an nba small forward.
this girl prolly the only woman i would actually watch play basketball

Iâve seen her dunk before, she can get up, but probably only on a really good day.

I happened to pause this perfect & I must say that She definitely gets rim and it goes in so, I'm not saying dunk until I see what the NBA actually classifies as a dunk
I'm like 6ft and i can barely touch the rim without a ball, she being a girl has much better vertical than most men
Honestly impressive for her height
Umm...No
She is listed as 5'11''. Lets assume she is 5'10'' as in most cases the actual barefoot height is 1 inch less.
Spud Webb could dunk at a listed 5'6' which means he could be as low as 5'5'' in reality.
So no, nothing impressive about a 5'10'' person ALMOST dunking.
@@kostasz7z men and women are totally different biologically. We store fat in different places (and more of it), build muscle differently and our bodies take longer to adapt to training stresses. Even after training to jump higher (or whatever else) men still have a physical advantage due to hormones like testosterone which allow muscle to build faster and stronger than women. So your comment comparing both really is irrelevant.
WNBA players who are 6â7+ canât even dunk. Iâve never seen a female under 6â4 who can dunk a ball. If u know any let me know
@@kostasz7z how literally dumb are you? There have been 20 or so recorded dunks in WNBA history. And some of the women there are 6â8 and taller. You should delete your comment. Girls donât jump like boys do, youâre ignorant.

She is so pretty!
If that's what constitutes a dunk these days...then I'd have been unstoppable back in my teen years. Not a knock on Paige by any stretch...I've seen her play....she'll dominate next season for sure
The whole front line could dunk on the girl's team at Lincoln high school in East St Louis Illinois in 1980 when Jackie Joyner played there.
even if she can dunk, it would be her weakest move. it's a waste of her time. she is the best player Minnesota has ever produced.

She the most athletic girl i seen
Get healthy! I'm expecting a knee surgery soon. Health comes first. Good luck in the WNBA and our đșđž national teams Paige!
Unfortunately the average fan thinks dunking is important. Paige has all the skills to be a great baller w/o dunking. Athleticism is an advantage but BB skills, court recognition, weaknesses of the defense etc are much more important.
Hi my name is Fransina I joined basketball last year I literally fun Spot so I'm watching this video to help me with my basketball skills and I got six middle the end
I have seen Bueckers jump better than that. She looked pretty close to having the hops to dunk! The ball slipped out so she hand to settle for the banked dunk This is till impressive for a 5'11 woman. I have seen commentators call banked dunks called dunks before. Mainly Amir Johnson. I would say Bueckers vertical is between 32-34 inches. This is probably enough to dunk most of the time. She lines up her steps well. She might be better off trying to dunk off the dribble. She should be able to palm a women's basketball. Sometimes when a dunker doesn't get a foot plus above the rim they are better off dunking off the dribble because their best bet on a alley is to tip the ball in and grab the rim. It is hard to get a clean dunk that way. We should be more impressed with Paige's vertical in this ;video rather than that one banked dunk since it was one attempt that she was close to making. I would guess that Bueckers has dunked a ball considering her low rim dunk where she got up higher than in this video. Briana Pulido had about the same vert but she is 5'7.
LOL That's false advertising but still better than I could do, so I can't complain, lol
