Bro thanks for this simple and great explanation on buffer overflow, I have one query , I am new to OSCP and so i want to ask that if we use msfvenom while creating shellcode in oscp exam , does that mean that we have used metasploit for buffer overflow machine in exam attempt and hence does that mean that we cannot use metasploit on any other machine? Please guide me

Hey! No it doesn't count like that after using msfvenom to create a shellcode and msf_pattern creator in bufferoverflow u can use the metasploit for another machine cause u haven't used the framework.....hope this helped 🙂
